Hi Vicky, Hi Dave!

I'm relieved to find out your booked on Jan 22nd too. It's great now it's showing as Guaranteed Departure. My boyfriend and I are going on the Ski Hopfgarten Trip the week before, spending the weekend before in London and staying on in Paris after the tour.

Dave - Don't be worried about travelling alone -I have a few times and you will have a ball. I have been on a Winter Tour before and it was brilliant. Nearly everyone on the bus was travelling alone and had a great time.

clarissajane24@hotmail.com me if you wanna chat or want some tips[It's getting so close now I am so excited!!!

Hi Clarissa and Dave,

Its so good to find more people on the tour!

My friend and I are 19 from Perth.
I can't wait- I've been taking advantage of the winter sales here for clothes and stuff but I still can't imagine how cold it will be! Layer it up I guess Smiler

Yeh Dave don't worry about travelling alone- you'll make heaps of friends Smiler

Well have a great day guys Smiler

Hi Vicky,

Don't worry about how cold it is - it's not as cold as you think. For a day outside like sightseeing etc I normally where a thermal long sleeve top or long sleeve tshirt and then sometimes a tshirt over that. Most days you can get away with a fleece type jacket or sweatshirt (good quality one) and only when it's really cold rainy or windy do you need an actual jacket. Make sure you bring a light, cool type top for going out (like you would wear here in summer) because in the pubs and clubs its often very hot inside.

Chat soon,
Clarissa

Well....

The European Discovery is 12 days and the European Ispiration is 19 days (thats a whole weeks more).
E Discovery works out at about AU$ 145 per day and the E Inspiration is Au$ 135 per day so already its better value!

The E Ispiration on Jan 22nd 2007 is a guaranteed departure so you don't need to worry about it being cancelled. It's also listed as Call For Availibility which means it's almost full (so chop chop!). The E Discovery Jan 23rd 2007 isn't guaranteed and if they do cancel it you only find out 6-7 weeks before and then you have to reorganise your whole trip. (This happened to me once and it's not only a pain but really disappointing (not contiki different company). And E Discovery is listed as BOOK NOW which means it's still got minimum numbers.

OK.. down to the actual itinerary... I did the Winter Wanderer is winter 2003 so I have been to all the places on both tours except Prague on the E Inspiration Tour.....

E Discovery - Only has two 2 Night Stops (Paris & Rome). All the rest are 1 Night Stops. What that actually means normally is you get on the bus in the morning around 8am or 9am. You drive to your destination stopping for lunch breaks etc and normally arrive at about 3pm - 5pm. You get your bags off the bus, get your room etc and next thing you know that days all gone. So you get the evening in the town. Then next morning.. you're back on the bus! So you really get a limited time to see each place. On a 2 Night Stop you arrive around 3pm - 5pm have that evening ALL OF THE NEXT DAY AND NIGHT, and then leave the 2nd morning back on the bus.

E Inspiration - ALL 2 NIGHT STOPS!!!

E Discovery Cities
Amsterdam - Cool! not enought time here.
St Goar - BORING.. you could skip here and not miss anything! (I hear in summer it's quite nice though)
Munich - Cool.. lots of beer - need more time!
Hopfgarten (Changed to Innsbruck) - Really nice place.
Venice - 1 night in Venice is CRAZY.. One very amazing place.
Rome - The is so much to see in Rome.. and Eat!
Florence - Need more time lots to see.
Lucernce - Very pretty but doubt you would make it up Mt Pilatus on a 1 night stop and it's amazing.
Paris - 2 nights .. and the rest! Maybe you could leave tour here and spend some more time.

E Inspiration Cities
Amsterdam - Cool!
Berlin - Really interesting place heaps to see.
Prague - As i said haven't been but hear huge things about it.
Munich - 2 nights of beer halls!
Venice - 2 nights is still hardly enough but you will really get a feel for the city.
Rome - The is so much to see in Rome.. and Eat!
Florence - Free day will give you time to see all the gallerys and jewellery!
Lucernce - Very pretty & you should make it up Mt Pilatus.
Paris - 2 nights .. and the rest! Maybe you could leave tour here and spend some more time.

Same amount of stops but so much better organised and way better value.

Oh and we're all booked on European Inspiration so what are you waiting for?? BOOK BOOK BOOK!

Anyways, hope that helped. My theory is you spend so much money to fly there may as well see all you can.
Any more questions, just ask! I promise shorter answer next time!
