I can't believe that msg went through.

Chelsea... I have never been to Scotland... so I cannot comment. As for things to take with... well I can just say what I normally pack. I prepare myself for any type of weather... cos 1 never knows.

I always take with 1 or 2 tracksuit or long sleeve tops in case it is cold. Then shorts, jeans and smart pants. You can also bring with a dress or 2, but just remember that your weight limit is 20kg. They are pretty strict on that. Then I just bring with a whole bunch of t-shirts and tops to mix and match. I normally make sure that my suitcase weighs about 16-17kg so that I have room to buy things.

The key is comfortable shoes. There are lots of cobbled streets and we tend to walk a LOT!!!!

I sometimes even fold 1 or 2 tops in my hand luggage (just in case).

The one thing that I can point out is that you will find that things get pretty rushed at times. On the tours I have been on... we have arrived at the hotel at say 6pm and are expected to put our case in the room and be dressed for the eveing by 6:20pm. It may seem like a lot of time. But it isn't cos you still need to get the key to your room and get your luggage upstairs.

So... you basically get to your room. Change quickly, touch up the ol make-up, brush your hair and wallah. So, don't bring things that will take you a while to get into.

Anyway... we have a month to go.... Eeeek

Chelsea I too am having major packing issues. I had a discussion about this with some friends and they said if you run out of clothes you can always just buy some!! Which suits me fine
I am counting down and very excited about meeting everyone and having an AWESOME TIME!!

Yes.. packing is always scary. But it is true... whatever you don't have.. you can always buy... it gives us girls an excuse to shop

Have you guys looked at the optional extras??? Are any of you not going on the bicycle tours???
I would love to do one of them, but to be honest, I can't ride a bicycle ... unless they give me 2 extra pedals on ths side

SA i am getting off the tour in paris but it's still up in the air for how long or if i'm going to stay there at all afterwards, might just do the whole wing it and what happens sorta deal ya know?
A tip that i got from a friend of mine was when we get on the bus wear really comfy clothes and bring some nice clothes on with you and when you get close to the city just hop in the bathroom for a quick change.

Yes... I guess that changing on thge bus toilet could be an idea. Dunno if I would do it though ... Hmmmmm.

Yip... I'm only staying in Paris for 1 extra day. That's all that I can afford. Plus work sadly calls and they won't let me take any extra days off

heya all, hows everyone?

Im going on euro inspiration on 29 June and def looking forward to it :-) I wish i knew about forums months ago as i only found out today! Im a first timer to contiki (yes im a contiki virgin haha!!) and europe so its gonna be one hell of an experience!

From what i have read it sounds like everyone is amped and excited.

I will leaving for london this saturday and spending a week there before the euro tour. I look forward to meeting everyone and hope my liver and kidneys survives at the end!!

Hey, I'm doing the European Inspiration tour starting the 29th June too!!!! One week to go, yeah!!!!
I'm from New Zealand but have lived in the UK for the past 3 years, I actually live just round the corner from where the tour starts from in London!! I've been to Paris and Prague before but can't wait to go back again and also see all the other places!!!
This is the 2nd contiki I have been on, the other one was the Grand Southern in America last year and that was AWESOME!!!! If this trip is anything like that then we are definately going to have a good time!!!
Well I have 7 night shifts to do before the tour starts, so I hope I'm still in the land of the living on the first night, I'm sure it will be nothing a few drinks won't fix!!

Hey, whoever it was that is going to Scotland, make sure you take some jeans and a warmish top!! I used to live up there and the weather can be unpredictable at times (as with anywhere in the UK!!!!) Although, we are meant to be having a good summer this year!!
Also, my friend has just come back from travelling around Europe and the temperature in Italy was in the 30s!!! So will definately be hot there!!
