We are both from Queensland Australia, We get into London on the 27th July.We are both unsure as to what to expect on this tour but are going to make the most of it.

Its getting really close and we're scared, as we have never been to Europe before.

I am also going on this tour. I'll be flying from Los Angeles on July 26 and arriving to London on the 27th.

Although I live in the USA, I'm from Mexico. I'm very excited to meet people from different parts of the world.

Like I said it on the other post, I like learning about other cultures and having fun with people in a healthy way.

I'm excited to read about people from Australia, New Zealand, London, and now me, Mexico. I'm absolutely sure that we'll have a great time.

By the way Sarah, perhaps you could take us around London? We'll be there for a day and I want to explore it.

U know what i've kinda become addicted to checking this msg board, coz it's so cool getting to know people from other places!! Nice to hear everyone is getting excited. I've been really slack with organising my stuff. I have just started looking around for a decent backpack to take, don't wanna take a suitcase, i figure that would be a waste. I think i will pack light also. I've just started reading this travel book titled 'first timer's guide to Europe' and it's great!! Gives u all these helpful hints on what to take, how to protect your belongings etc. I would suggest you guys pick up a guide like that and have a read just to get some ideas! Yup there's definitely heaps to get done! Keep us updated on how u guys are getting along with your preparations.

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all ok. I was just wondering how your plans were going? I have made a list of everything i need to take...now i just have to go and buy it all-its so expensive! I was talking to Chatz and he mentioned pickpocketing, just to let you know i would be careful over here, get a day-to-day bag that has a zip....its never happened to me but its goes on a lot in the big cities.

Hi Sarah, Chatz, and all...

Since I've been very busy at work, I haven't had the time to get ready for the trip.

The only thing I've done is get my passport and other documents ready.

I was actually talking to a colleague of mine who has been to Europe before, and she advised me to take the following:

1. 3-4 pairs of jeans
2. 2 pairs of formal pants
3. 7-8 normal shirts (t-shirts)
4. 2-3 formal shirts
5. one pair of formal shoes
6. one pair of sneakers (tennis shoes)
7. 1-2 pairs of shorts

She has told me to go as light as possible. I have to leave room for souvenirs. Two of my friends have already asked me for a bottle of wine from France hahahahaha! Those are heavy!

My main concern at this moment is money. I know how much I need to take, but how do I take it? Some tell me that traveler checks are fine, but you can't cash them in some places. A lot have told me not take a large amount of cash...perhaps, the safest thing to do is take my credit and debit cards (although it's not that safe either).

I have to admit something to all of you...I'm terrified of flying, so I've already bought 3 books to read on my way there and on my way back. It's a 12-13 hour flight from Los Angeles to London.

Other than that, I think I'm ready to go. It's a lot easier for us guys to pack! hahaha!

Ahhh one last thing, I still haven't bought my digital camera. I think I'll get it this weekend.

Hey There everyone,

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, i have been really busy trying to organise everything for this trip, I have to admit the more that i think about it the more scared i get.

I have made a list of everything that i am going to need and i think i have it all, i have a video camera and a digital camera so i can make sure i have alot of memories of this trip, and is anyone finding it hard to only pack lightly? because i know i am. I am just trying to remind myself that whatever i dont bring i can buy when were away.

Its exactly 5 weeks and 6 days till we leave and i cant wait.

Luis - a tip on the jeans...i dont think its going to be that cold, especially in southern europe...i reckon it would be better to take more shorts, they will be more comfy on the coach.
