Hey there MandaP,

My girlfriend and I are on that tour also. Munich for Oktoberfest would have been great, we're heading to Barcelona afterwards then up to Andorra for a few days.

Matt

Hey Wendy, just read your other posts on this trip (hadnt thought to do that beforehand) and found you're from NZ... so dont need to answer that now lol

We're getting into London on the morning of the 7th so we're only in London overnight before the departure for the trip. We're staying at the place the tour departs from so we won't have to try and get there on the morning of the 8th.

Hanging there again for 2 nights when its over before we head off on the Oktoberfest 5 day tour in Munich and back again for one night before we head home.

It's going to be soooo much fun! I can't wait. We are so excited about the honeymoon side of things that we forget half the time about last minute preps for the wedding which "has" to happen beforehand haha silly us

Haha smart thinking Smiler

I'm travelling by myself, catching up with lots of friends along the way so I'm rather pleased to have 'met' people on the tour already. I arrive in London on the 4th and have 4 nights at the Imperial, I think that's where they are departing from, is that where you are staying?

I leave Auckland on 29/08, 5 nights in LA / Las Vegas and then good ole London town. 24 sleeps and counting...

LOL yeah i know how the whole counting down thing goes, we get married on the 30th August then we're off on the plane 6th September to London for the honeymoon, se we've got nearly 24 days left to go haha

I'd have to check all the paperork Flight Centre gave me but the girl assured me we would be staying where the tour departs from so if you say that's the Imperial it probably is hehe need to wait a little bit longer cause we don't get any of the info stuff till 20 days before departure, so i'm getting a little anxious.

All i want is the paperwork in my hands so its one less thing to worry about, got enough organising with the wedding to finalise haha just kidding its all going really well, just sitting back till the big day now....

so if you don't mind me asking, how old is everyone...? Wendy, Matt and Co....

I'm 26 and my partner Joad is 28....

Hey MandaP,

From Orange ay... bet you its been cold out your way lately! haha

Good to see you've met Wendy, we've been on a tour and off a tour together already? haha This tour however seems to have a few more people... I can count five so far, that's two more than the last! Smiler

We're staying at the Royal National from the 5th.

That's fine, I'm 28 and my girlfriend Jade is 22.

MandaP - I know what you mean about the paperwork, I don't have mine yet either. I have print outs of my itinerary but its just not the same...sigh

Matt - nicely put. I have a better feeling about this tour, surely it can't happen twice?!

No probs, I'm 32

Hey Guys,

We just got our travel documents today and the biggest concern of ours is the luggage specs. We'd gone out a few months ago and bought new suitcases which by the specs are too big

How much have they enforced it on the other trips you have been on.... do you think there are any chances for leniency???

They specifiy 73x50x25cm and ours are 79x46x33cm if fully packed so we could prob get the depth down to the 25cm if necessary.... so we dont know whether we can get away with it or if they'll make us get rid of them....

What are your thoughts on it all from your experience

When I went on my first Contiki people had suitcases of all sizes, but that was a few years ago so things might have changed. Sorry MandaP, not really sure. I'll let you know what my travel docs say when I get them.

Hi guys,

Yeh our suitcases are approx 76x50x30cm? They were given as gifts so hopefully they'll be acceptable? If not, it looks as if we may have 19 additional days in London MandaP? haha
