Hi all,

I'm Kayne & I'll be embarking on the Euro Inspiration tour late March 07 & I was wondering if anyone out there can tell me how centrally located the hotels are? Or are they a fair distance from the city centres? Also are the hotels ok or a bit dodgy? Any chance anyone actually knows the names of the hotels so I can check them out online? I'm not really a 5-star bloke but I just want to know what to expect. Thanks.

hey mate, with the exception of venice most hotels are fairly close to the centre of the towns....normally a short train/bus ride but they dont run past midnight normally, so a cab from town to your hotels in the wee hours is on average about 15 euro....which between a few of you aint very much. But in places such as prague u have to set your price before u get in or they will blatently rip u off. As far as the hotels go, they are excellent considering what you pay. The dingiest one we had was probably the royal national in london.....its not really worse than the others, just a bit older. The other bus that ran alongside ours on our tour did get 1 dodgy hotel however. Cant remember where it was.....possibly rome or florence. But generally they are really good......u aint in there for very long anyway.....maybe 4-5 hours sleep a night...haha. Have fun on your trip....

Cheers Kris. I've had a few people tell me the royal national in London isn't the best. Only staying there one night so that's cool. I've also heard that Prague is the place to go if you want to be either A/ robbed or B/ ripped off. But I'll judge for myself I suppose. Thanks for the advice.
