I'm not sure about the ANZ one, but my mum got me a brochure for the cash passport/travelex one that you get from the post office? The website is cashpassport.com.au I guess they're pretty much the same thing though?

we have one of these they are excellent, there are no hidden fees or charges and it works out a little bit cheaper than others.. we just got another one for our upcoming american trip in jan - its also good if ppl are giving you $$ for presents as they can just bpay it directly on there.

Many places in Japan don't accept credit cards at all...and the ones that do, usually only accept credit cards that were issued here in Japan.
The places that accept "foreign" credit cards will only accept "Master Card", "Visa", "American Express", etc. The same goes for ATMs...most machines here only accept cards from a Japanese bank. _______ Cheap airline tickets |

I was going to get one of those, but I didnt bother, i just got cash out as I went, coz my bank just said to select credit and id only get a conversion fee, rather than every other fee you get (bank west). It was quite good, suprsingly on a $500NZ withdrawal i only paid like $2 in fees! pretty good id have to say!

I picked one of these cards up last week.
I know the Aussie $ is good at the mo', but I wish I had of picked one up a few weeks earlier as I am sure the conversion to Canadian $ was a little better. I've got it set up that a portion of my pay goes onto the card each fortnight. Sort of saves having to set up a savings account...which I have almost dried out in prep for this trip anyway |
