Everyone I have told I am doing this, including my managers all say the same thing to me. "I wish I could have done that when I was younger." I'm 23, and i am not letting this experiance pass me by. Life will be here when I get back... atleast that is what I am telling myself.

Yes I am in a similar situation as yourself. I am resigning from the company I have worked for 5 and half years to travel around Europe for 6 months. I strongly believe that travel broadens the mind and helps people grow!
As long as you have the qualifications and some experience, after returning rejuvinated from your holiday, you will surely find an equivalent or better job with the same or greater salary!
If travelling is something you have wanted to do for a long time don't put it off. Enjoy life!!!!
Cheers Tasos

Hi guys, I'm after some advice or maybe some stories or something similar.

Basically, I'm 22 and I would love to go travelling, I can not find anyone to go with me but I can go on my own so that is not a problem I suppose. But, one thing that is stopping me is the fact that I now have a career, quitting is not a problem I can do that but, it's finding another job when I get back with a similar salary. Has anyone else been in this situation?

Thank you for reading this,

Paul

hi! I went on a contiki by myself and I wouldnt have changed it at all! It is a great feeling starting off something with 40 starngers and comming back with 40 new friends! We all got very close and still keep in touch. Travelleing alone seems scary but you find yourself on the way!

Hi all,
im also travelling alone in june 07 and leaving my job of 7 years. The way i see it take the opportunity to fulfill your dreams of travelling while you can, if you've got experience youll always find work wherever you are. You only live once so make the most of it

I would suggest going with a smaller group, say around 3-5 people.

Hi all,
I'll be traveling over to Europe by myself this summer- will be based in London while I'm interning, but I'm also thinking of doing a Contiki tour to Turkey as well as other weekend trips around Scotland and to Paris, and maybe other locations as well!
This past summer I went to the Mykonos resort by myself, and I'm so glad I did it!
Send me a message if any of you all want to meet up to hang out in London or elsewhere!

Hi lynette! Go to Contiki than trafalgar coz ive done trafalgar with my mom and they are mostly married couples on their anniversaries. It would be more fun to be with your own age group. Im planning on Egypt on my own, too latter part of ths year..

Be21 and Opilot87, Im also travelling alone, going on the Big Apple Explorer June 26 and then on to the Canada and the Rockies including Calgary. I also havent been out of Australia, and i am very nervous. But like i keep telling myself that i am only young once and i am going to have no regrets! I figured i would do some travelling before i get settled down. Would be good to hear from you.

I am also planning on getting away, I am thinking July and am looking into the European Panorama. I will most likely be going solo as my friends are all too wishy washy. Anyone else thinking of this tour or have you done it before??? Nervous and excited I am sure it will be amazing!!!

i dont understand why people have a problem being around 'too many couples'. !?!?
Ive traveled ALOT and quite a few times Ive been talking happily with someone about whatever having a great time and as soon as my boyfriend walks up or I mentions im travelling with him people have a problem with that. WTF?

So what? I have someone who makes me happy and we love the same things and doing them together!! Why do people find that so threatening?? I want to be friends with all sorts but more often than not i end up making mates with other couples.. WHY!~?

Another question in mind.

I understand that many people fly to their tour start up point to meet their tour. For my trip on the Western Highlights tour, I will be taking the train from Ontario to Anaheim and staying two nights proior to when my tour starts. Where do I go to meet up with the tour? (California Highlights Tour)
