Hiya
This is my first contiki and I'm going alone. Must admit I am nervous and excited. I'm okay with sharing a room.... but just don't know about sharing a room if one stays additional nights. I would far prefer to stay in a single room on my additional nights.

Maybe you can share the room with someone in your tour group who is also in the same boat. Ask around during the tour and then rebook if you do find someone and you are comfortable with the individual,

Talk to your travel agent. The Contiki rate is likely better than the regular rate that you can get for the same hotel.

Hiya
I'm also doing the Grand Southern and Big Apple in June this year. I have been to London with family before. This will be the first time I will be travelling alone. I'm excited and nervous.

Hi im doing the WW in November, same date as MissBliss in fact. I attempted to get some mates to come along, but none seemed interested (too busy with their cars). At first i felt a bit scared but now i think this is going to turn out to be the best thing for me. Time for me to go wild on my own and meet some new people!!

That's how my friends are. they all say they'd love to go but when it comes down to it, they're not willing to spend the money.

Hi Paul - I hear you on that. I'm 32 and traveling for 6 weeks come April. I had the good fortune of my boss granting me the leave (after almost spitting her tea in my face when i mentioned how long). But I will be looking for a new job anyway (been at this one for 6 years) when I return. I'm worried too, but why regret not having the trip of a lifetime? Like the country boys say, ya gotta "live like yer dying".

I left my last job with no regrets ... for a 6 week tour - Panorama + Spain & Portugal. Given the same situation in the last job, I'd do it again without hesitation. I didn't find another job for 4 months ... and had I know that, I would added Morocco (no longer offered), Russia/Scandi, and Egypt !!!
