After having travelled across Canada from coast to coast with my job and the work team, now I'm Contiki-ing solo! First time across the pond. Scary but at least I won't have to work!

I see you're in Miami as well, I'm also trying to decide what tour I'll be taking and I'm traveling on my own. I was thinking of the European Discovery somewhere around the end of July - August. What are your choices?

I went on my first solo contiki tour 2 years ago in 2005 May to Europe. At first it was scary and freightening. But after experiencing that trip of a lifetime I felt it was all worth it. What ppl say on this msg board is very true. You will meet a lot of new friends on the tour. some you will like and others you won't like so much. But contiki gives you a lot of freedom to do what you want on your tour. So it's really amazing. I liked it so much that this year, I'm doing another solo contiki tour. This time, I going on the wild western in June 2007. I can't wait. Am I nervous about it. Well a little bit...but I'm sure it will be a positive experience.

I am going solo as well... I am pretty nervous about it, but I hope it goes well! Gotta get over those nerves as my tour is in June, can't wait!

well Ive narrowed it to European Magic and the Mykonos Resort & Island Cruising. I only have 12 days available now so that kindof limits it. I was also looking at around August sometime

The Mykonos one seems like it could be pretty cool so I'm leaning toward that for now

I'm thinking about doing the 'Euro Encounter' tour which departs London Sep 2 and is 16 days long.
Anyone doing this too?
I'm travelling solo, so would be great to hear from people that may be doing this tour.

First time posting anything so hope have done this right...
Am thinking of doing a Contiki tour at end of the year, either one of the Aussie or NZ one's -am gonna travel solo as my mates are all bit more settled down.
I know it's 18-35 but what would people say was average age. I'm 28 and don't wanna seem too old for the trip??? Thoughts?

Is anyone else going on the New Zealand tour that starts in Christchurch on 31st July, 2007. I am a late twenties female from San Francisco traveling solo.

Recommendation - Trekking in Ghorepani & Annapurna, Nepal

If you want to go trekking in Nepal as an independent traveller for either short or long treks with or without a whole lot of experience then you could look up Nar Bahadur Gautam, a trekking guide with an excellent track record for those who go to Nepal for tough trekking to Annapurna, and others like myself who need to trek in order to take photographs. He is really useful guide in particular for Botanists and phtotographers due to his excellent knowledge of the terrain. Nar Bahadur has built up a great network of contacts and is warmly received at all the village. We were never hustled or encouraged to spend our money on anything and were able to go about our business getting the most out of our time, just what you need after spending a week in Kathmandu where the hawkers have become ever more predatory. I'm actually going w/ 5 more friends..which is as big of a shock to me as to anybody else! It's pure coincidence!

This is my first message on this message board. I am getting ready to go on the Greek Island Tour which leaves this Friday June 8th. I will be leaving from south Fla. Is anyone going on the tour?
