Hi folks!
Me and my fiance will be traveling to Europe for the first time this winter, and I have been looking at various bag options. I stumbled upon the Pacsafe.com website, and while their product looks very ideal, they didn't quite have a size/style that I wanted. I've been doing some google research, but so far haven't found another company that offers a similar product. I've found online retailers that sell the Pacsafe products and just don't credit the brand name, but that's it. Also, for the men out there - what did you carry with you? My Fiance does not normally use any sort of murse/messenger/backpack, and I've been explaining to him that he will absolutely need one. He remains a bit skeptical, so I'll have to just buy him one to use, and I wanted to know - from a guy's point of view, what do you prefer? A backpack or a messenger, and why? Fashion is a bit of a consideration, we're both fairly into fashion, and while we certainly won't be dressing for a runway, we ARE going to be visiting some of the most stylish cities in the world, so we do want to look somewhat respectable. Thanks in advance for your assistance |

I bought a Pacsafe bag before for my travels in the past, but even though I liked it being slash proof, I found the bag to be very heavy. Recently I looked into buying a new bag and I bought a bag from this company: http://www.travelonbags.com/pa...bags/anti-theft.html
I haven't used my bag yet. But it seems to be lighter than Pacsafe, so I like it already. I believe I got it from amazon.com |

I too was looking at Pacsafe before my trip. But found out it was too small. The metal straps felt uncomfortable.
For me personally from a guys point of view. I prefer a back pack over a messenger, because the shoulder strap digs in over time. Im also into looking good(fashionable). But since its winter, everything will be the same, not like in the summer time where you can wear a LV backpack, or LV messenger bag with out worrying about snow. People on my summer tour just took their cameras and wallets. but some opted to bring a bag like myself. But for winter, you have a winter jacket with several pockets, so a bag wouldnt be necessary. -European Highlights July 2009- |
