just woudering whether anyone has booked accomadation for the night before we leave at the royal national. Very expensive and wanting to know whether anyone is interested in sharing a room.

i'm booked in a couple of days before hand at royal national. I'm not sure if i can pick who to stay with now that i'm booked, i'm in a triple room, i think they try to get you in a room with people from the same tour.

If you've paid for a double or triple share room and now have someone you want to be in the same room as you, you can both get your travel agents to request that you share with each other and as long as you both arrive around the same time i think the hotel will try their best to arrange it

Are you going to take travelers cheques? or a travelex card? dont really want to use Credit card unless i have to.

I am taking a wizard mastercard (no fees for international transactions) and loading it up with my own money and also taking my visa debit card

Thanks to some advice from Allison, I am going to go to the travel agent and organise a travelex card!

Can you believe i have been home sick ALL WEEK! Grrr! Thank goodness this is happening now and not while we are away!!!!!

Oh, and does anyone know the size restrictions with the luggage? I can't seem to find it on here!

Australia Post does travelex cards if its easier! Im going to use travelex.

i dont know about the size but the weight is 20 kgs. I have a 65L backpack as ill be traveling for around 6 months!

im going to get a credit card for 'just incase' reason but im prob kidding myself coz if its there ill spend it haha!

Im staying at the national for 3 nights before we leave

im staying at the royal national from the 20th and then the night we get back from the tour... then Kim and i are off to a hotel in Wembley...

I like Kims idea of all catching up for lunch or something the day before the tour (thinkshe mentioned it on facebook)

Thanks for the reply. I am going to the travel agent this week to finalise my night stay at the royal nation. I am only going to be staying there the night before, but I hope they can put me in a room with some of you guys. It would be great to catch up before we leave and have a few quiet ones.
