I booked today! I'm so excited! Can't wait to meet everyone and see the world! (We need to get more Canadians on this tour eh!)

Is anyone bringing a sleeping bag on this tour. I've read somewhere that the contiki houses are pretty cold? Plus, I would love to hear if any of your friends have gone on this tour and feedback on it.
I'm thinking about going with 6 of my friends...so we have to make a decision about joining Contiki or backpacking through Europe on our own...any thoughts?

I actually spoke with a girl who did a 2-wk contiki tour and also backpacked on her own. She said she absolutely hated backpacking. The tour was easier and everything was organized for her. Backpacking means you have to find your own accomodations and way around the cities. Its very hard. I would suggest the tour -- u can just enjoy the sights and not worry about the minor details. Definitely less headaches with a tour! And u meet new ppl!

Well since it is a group of 6 of us...4 of us are narrowing it down to doing the tour and like you said...it's a lot easier not to plan everything. I had already started doing this but nothing was really set on stone. Do you have a myspace?

I definitely agree, an organised tour saves having to THINK, which will save you the stress especially in countries where you dont speak the lingo! You can just sit back, relax, enjoy the tour and the partying! My partner and i have booked and are all set. The countdown has begun - less than 2 months to go!! Looking forward to meeting you all!
