Hi all

Just wanting to know who else is going on the same tour??

I'm a 27yo (will be 28 by the time the trip starts) female from Melb.

After the tour I'm staying in London for about 5 days then continuing onto Athens for a night before embarking on the party island of Mykonos!! I'll be there from about 13 Aug to 19/20 Aug & maybe doing a day trip to Santorini or Ios depending how things go.

Not sure whether or not to stay at the Contiki Resort or hook up with people on the trip & share a hotel closer to all the action....ie Paradise Beach!

Anyone doing the same tour or wanting to hook up & party in Mykonos let me know.

Butlike you I am going to greece and I am more than likely going to be on my own. I went 2-3 years ago but going again I am going to be visiting santorini ,Ios, and mayby mykinos I didnt have a great experience there befour but then again I didnt get to the contiki resort maybe we might bump into each other or we could catch up anyway if you wanna chat look me up or simmo212001@yahoo.com send me an email

Hey wicked cool to meet others here before we go! My name is lex and i'm 24yo and from Sydney - although i just turned 24, so i'd rather think of myself as a younger ;-) ... anyway - myself and 6 of my mates are doing the tour with you all! Basically none of us have travelled around europe before, so we are all pretty excited!! And i think two of us are going to possibly be either going to Ibiza or Mykonos afterwards - not too sure of their plans. I'm going to be in germany for the world cup, dublin, edinburgh and london for the time before contiki, and afterwards am going to america for a month. Absolutely charged to get out there and party it up in europe!!! Plus am pretty excited about the culture shock we're in for...anyways look forward to meeting you all

Great to see there's actually other people going on the same tour as me & my girlfriend.....for a while there I thought we were going solo as there was no-one responding to my emails for ages! I guess not many people get onto this site??
Great to hear you're going with a group - always heaps more fun sharing the experience.
I've never travelled to Europe before but my friend has family in Malta so she's been over a couple of times.  Sooo can't wait for July 20! We fly out from melbourne on July 18 so we've got like 9 weeks & 6 days to go....not counting or anything hey!
Kat & I have been emailing each other heaps & she sounds like a top chick - hopefully there's a few people like us on the tour that are easy going & up for a wicked time of partying.
My friend & I are going to be in London for about 5 days after the trip then heading to Athens & the Greek Isles for about 10 days of partying in Mykonos, Paros & Santorini.......can't wait!!! Just looking forward to getting away from this melbourne winter & soaking up the European sun.
World Cup would be awesome to go to as well but I couldn't afford the time off work.

i'm getting to germany (berlin) for the final of the world cup soccer on july 9th with Dave & Simon, who are on our tour. So pretty much starting my 2 month adventure off with the biggest party in the world!!!
To answer question tho Kat, we'll be in London for the 3 days before the tour starts. Apparently where we are staying (a hostel called The Generator) is right opposite/near where the bus leaves on the following morning.
Yeah Kym i know that our tour is solidly booked out, cause i tried to get another one of my mates onto it, and it was completely gone. So i think its a case of no-one using this site. How goods this - i got three discounts on this tour! Booking in a group of 7, triple sharing, and booking 6 months in advance! thought i should share that hahah....
every time i see a plane fly overhead i just wish i was on it - i'm so damn pumped for this. Hey also - when you're budgeting, dont forget the extra stuff that you would pay for on the tour (eg canal cruise, going up mountain in swiss alps etc....) But i'm sure you've thought of that.
Quick question tho - what are you guys doing for money when over there? I mean, are you using travellers cheques? Taking money over? Or using your debit card at like $5 a transaction?
Anyway - its gonna be tough partying every night and having to get up at 6 - but it will be a new country/adventure every day, which will motivate the hell out of ya!!
One of my mates at work did the same tour in august last year - he loved it. so am definitely keen as mustard!
i've started drinking pints, to get into practice for germany & england! hahah alcoholic or what! but i think thats what half the tours about!
