Yup I am on the air canada flight. I think there is a ticket or something for the transfer but you have to take the train from the airport. Doesn't sound to hard. But yes we can both figure it out together I'm sure.
Jord I do not envy you. make sure you bring things to do on the flight or at least hope for some good movies! I'm not excited about anything specific. Just good to get away, travel and have fun. My friend and I are also planning on staying longer after the trip so all and all its going to be a good time over there. |

Hey everyone, 30 hours is insane lol, I guess us canadians shouldn't complain then!
Laura that's great that your on the same flight, we got a transfer for the tube I think, I'm sure it's quite easy but it's always good to have someone there with you also, just in case By the way, I'm a little confused about the adapter/converter situation, do any of you guys know if they come togeather (or are the same thing lol) or if you have to buy them seperate etc. Also I'm not sure if any of you are bringing your phones/cameras but do you need a seperate adapter for those products? I've tried to ask people around here but no one seems to know. 3 weeks you guys!!!! |

Hey Hey,
Wow - im glad there are people booked on this trip. We were a little worried for a bit there hey Lyssa - hahahaha. Yeah 10 hours would be a sweet flight - trade you? As for the power adaptor/ converter - in Canada i believe you use 110 volt power right? The first thing you need to check is whether the things i.e. camera charger, ipod etc can work on dual voltage. It should say something like 110-250v on a label. This means it will work on a range of voltage output plugs. Most phone chargers 'should' be ok, but hairdryers/ straighteners etc can be risky. If your device doesnt list multiple voltages on it, you will need a power converter, or alternatively just buy a cheap hairdryer etc when in Europe. oh and obviously you will need a plug adaptor, one for the UK and another for Continental Europe. DISCLAIMER - This information is provided based on my very limited knowledge of how electricity works. hahahaha. Check with someone at a travel shop, you do have those over yonder right? Looking forward to meeting you all in 3 weeks time - i hope you are all getting organised for a very big experience. |

Thanks Jord, for that info. I ended up buying a voltage converter and the plug adaptors, so hopefully that's fine.....and yes we do have travel shops in canada lol but some of them still don't know what the heck their talking about, so it's of little use to me lol.
