I'm glad the tour is guaranteed hope it is full, I fly out of london to turkey for anzac day on the 22nd of april for 5 days then have 10 days in London before I go to the states for a few weeks before I come back. when do you leave london???

Prior to the tour just catching up with some friends and checking out the sights of London (and maybe some shopping) we're staying at the Contiki Hotel the night before the tour departs and maybe the night when the tour ends as my friend flies back to Brisbane the next day.

Silly question, sorting out last min things like currency, what are you both doing for that? Cash Passport, travellers cheques or debit or credit card?

Would love to know, coz I don't know what to do

hey sarah i'm just taking a visa debit card and a credit card and will exchange a little bit of cash to get me thgough the first day or two then i will just use the cards everyone I talk to says it's the easy way to go just use the atm's there.

After the tour I'm hanging around England for a bit meeting family and catching up with a couple of mates working over there, then it's back over to Germany to meet the other side of the family and a bit of solo backpacking.

With money I'm getting a couple of cash passport's and taking my credit card and regular EFTPOS card as back-ups. Apparently your regular bankcard will work at any ATM around the world if it's got the "Cirrus" logo on the back. I've heard a lot of people say Dave's way is the easiest, but I have a slightly overprotective travel agent for an aunty who won't hear of me relying on just one form of cash.

Thanks for the advice! It's freezing in Europe at the moment (well compared to Brisbane!) are you staying at the Contiki Hotel prior to the tour? Cannot wait!

Yeah I'm at the Royal National for the whole week before we head off. Hopefully it's not too much of a dive ;P A little bit of "luxury" will be good before I hit the hostels and friends floors after the tour.

Staying there the night before I get into London lunchtime the day before we leave. If it's that cold I might have to bring a backpack full of jumpers... Anyone keen for a drink the night before we take off after the pre tour meeting????
