Hey ppl,

This'll be my 2nd Contiki tour and I can't wait for it to start cuz i'm DYING for a vacation. Took the Greek Island Hopping tour 2 summers ago and had a blast.

Anyway, I've booked for 2 extra nights in Amsterdam (before the tour starts) and for 2 extra nights in Barcelona (after the tour ends). Looking forward to it. Add me to MSN and we'll chat...take it ez till then...

Phew - I was starting to think that no one else was going to be on this tour!!

We'll be spending a few days in London before heading to Amsterdam, I'm looking forward to it. I did the 34 day European tour a few years ago, I'm hoping this one is just as good

Hey,

Wow, 34 days eh?! How'd u get that much time off of work?! I'm only a student & part time worker, so I'd never be able to score that much time off!

Yea, I'm not too keen on the actual touring part of the trip. I like going off on my own and exploring at my own pace (even though I'm hopeless with a map).

Apparently, Amsterdam's easy to get around by tram or on foot. Paris' underground system is supposedly fairly easy to follow. The Barcelona hotel is supposedly in a completely non-central location to the main city centre...great. Gotta cough up more money for cab fare I guess...Oh, and the Amsterdam hotel got horrible reviews by past-guests at www.tripadvisor.com ...just plug in the name Nieuw Slotania and hit search. Then read the reviews....should be interesting I guess, although this hotel is also way out of the main city centre...guess the people at Contiki are not the smartest ppl, eh?!

He he he, I was actually away for about 10 weeks, I was a student at the time and got my first real full time job the day before I left - so I had to come back home, otherwise I had planned on staying in Eurpoe until I ran out of money.

Its a pity that the hotels were so far away, the last tour we did (in 2000) we were usually walking distance from our night out. Rome was probably the only place where we stayed way way out of the city (somewhere in the suburbs I think) but in Paris and Barcelona especially we walked everywhere. Still I guess things change, I'm still hoping we're close

Anticipation is a beeyotch....I'm dying here. I've been in Euro-Withdrawl for 2 years now, i NEED to get back. And why aren't other people posting here? Are we the only ones on the tour loll ??

I got my "contiki pack" today...read through all the optionals...apparently, we're not being offered the Moulin Rouge dinner&show, but some other cabaret instead. Dont know if I'm up for it though. I'd rather go clubbing/bar hopping since we only have 2 nights in Paris.

The "Dinner in Monaco" option, as cool as it sounds, is apparently not worth the price. Food apparently sucks. And again, I think I'd rather go clubbing/bar hopping since it's not often I'm in the FRENCH RIVIERA (!!).

Oh, and the Paris hotel we're staying at--not central by any means. Completely south of the heart of Paris and away from the Eiffel Tower & The Louvre. Contiki--we are not amused.
