Is anyone doing the Territory and outback tour starting jan 11th 2009 starting from alice springs??? Im doing this by myself and would really like to know if anyone else out there has booked or is planning on doing it!?

I have just booked this trip also for the same date? Are you definitely doing it? I am from WA, and also doing it by myself. Are you staying either side in Alice or Darwin? I was thinking of doing a few days either, but not sure what the go is! The guy said that its a popular tour, and the reviews are good so im pretty excited! Yeh iv definately booked it but just waiting to hear back from my travel agent with some more information! Im from England and will be flying over to australia mid september to do some traveling on the east coast and also staying with a friend in adelaide! i think im guna travel up to alice springs a few days before the tour starts to have a look around and make sure i get there on time lol im really excited and cant wait i just hope the weathers nice! are u on facebook or anything as it would be gd to get to know someone before the tour starts . . . .Abi

awseome, i've done two contiki's beforehand and never met people before so could help! im on facebook, pia gilmour, add me and we can chat further, not sure how safe these forums are! thats awseome, im sure the weather will be nice, if anything sooo bloody hot, it gets so hot in perth in the summer these days and we are on the coast so i'm sure the middle of australia will be bloody unbearable, but im really excited. my friends just laugh when im saying im doing it but who cares i cant wait! yeah my plan was the same, to fly from perth to alice springs on the 8th or 9th, stay a night or two at the YHA (ive heard its the cheapest and the best) so maybe we could have a look around together or something before? another girl emailed me who had already done this tour, and she said to plan to do all the optional excursions because they are awseome, and that most of the stuff to do in alice springs is covered in the tour so dont plan to do any more than two or three days beforehand so thats what im planning, also we have a pre-departure meeting afterwards? are you heading over wa way at all?
