Hi eveyone,

I know thta June 2010 is still quiet a number of months away, but I wanted to get a post out there to see how many people are either thinking about taking this trip or are booked to take this trip.

I am an aussie travelling solo. Thought it would be a great way to experiance our own 'back yard' and meet some great people along the way.

Please drop me a line if you are thinking about/or are going on this trip.

Catch you all later.

Mindy

Hi Emma,

No, I havn't booked it yet, but am hopeing to by the end of the year, as I am trying to get one of my friends to come with me.

I haven't been on any contiki tours before but really want to go on a holiday, but not on my own... so I thought these trips would be a great option.

My friend and I live about 1 1/5 hrs south west of brisbane, inbetween ipswich and warwick in a small country town called boonah.

We are looking at starting in Alice Springs and ending in Darwin. Is that the way you guys are going? Have you enjoyed the other contiki trips you have gone on?

Hope to hear from you soon, am starting to get excited, just have to book it now Smiler

Hi Mindy

I loved the other trips I did. I've been on a Europe one and New Zealand I met Ros on the New Zealand one, I did both of those on my own its no big deal really coz you make a lot of friends on the way so you arent really travelling by yourself thats what I love about them, that and both tour guides on both trips were awesome heaps of fun and very knowlegable. We are going the Alice Spring way to will arrive there the day before then we are staying in Darwin for a couple of days after. So excited hope your friend can come but dont stress if she cant. by the way how old are you? I'm 22 and Ros is 34.

Anyway Talk again soon

Emma

Hey Emma,

I want to go on a europe, new zealand and america ones as well. Thought I would start with an Australian one to see how things work. My friend (Dean) and I are both 24. I will probably still be going if Dean doesn't come. We will also be arriving in Alice Srings the day before and will probably leave Darwin either the day after or might stay a couple of extra days, depending. We could possibly even be on the same flight out of brisbane as your firend Ros. Will probably go down to the travel agents and book the trip in the next couple of weeks.

Catch u soon.

Hey,
I am also looking at flying out on the 26th at 8:45 in the morning.

I have been to New Zealand twice when I was younger with my family, and have trevlled around most of Austalia (excpet for WA and NT). Am wanting to see the rest of the world. It has always been my dream to visit londona and paris, so hopefully in a couple of years I will... I am looking at doing the month tour from one side of america to the other when I graduate uni, it can be my graduation present to myself, and a well earned break Smiler

Hey

I loved New Zealand I would move there in a second. I havent seen much of this side of the country I'm originally from Perth, so it was a bit of a shock moving over here. I went through London a few times when I was travelling over there great place I couldnt live there though to crowded but great to visit. Paris was awesome would have enjoyed it more If I wasnt sick at the time but I plan on going back there some day, just a warning French people will keep speaking french to you even if they know English just to be arrogant and to piss you off Smiler I want to do the same tour in America but that wont be for a while as I hope to be in uni in the next yr or 2, what are you studying? by the way here is my email address you can search for me on facebook if you have it. dont laugh I made it up when I was in High School anyway it is Insane_Angel_558@hotmail.com

Anyway talk soon

Hey,

Thanks for that. My email is mindy_bear@hotmail.com if you want to search for me as well, or for when I add you. I won't be doing the american tour for at least 2 years, as that is when I am hopefully graduating. I am studying civil engineering. How about you? What are you looking at studying? Maybe we could do the american tour together...

Catch soon.

Boonah is only a very, VERY small town... we don't even have a woolworths supermarket... The closest uni is 1 1/5 hrs away. I am studying externally and working full time... can be a bit tricky sometimes... but I enjoy it. Teaching would be awsome... I did think about becoming a graphics teacher.. but dont know..
