I have just booked the Alice Springs to Darwin - Territory & Outback tour for July/August 2008.

Anyone else booked on this tour??

Hey, not on your tour, but we finish ours in Alice on the day before you start, so if your there the night before your trip starts we will prob see you r tour in Alice that night.

Ive put a post on to see if anyone is on our tour, but so far it looks like we will be travelling alone! Where are you coming from?

I'm from Sydney Australia, but have not seen the NT area so thought this would be a good way. It will be my first contiki tour.

I arrive at lunchtime the day before my tour starts so definitely see you at the hotel...

seems like it.. or they just dont get as keen about the whole thing.
Im from Aus too... just up the road at Newcastle. Never been to the NT, our tour will follow 2 weeks in far north QLD.. very excited.

Yes getting exciting. I started packing yesterday, have just got back from shopping to pick up some things I wanted - I got given a $250 gift card from my boss as part of my bonus - which has come in very handy. Just have to get deodorant/sunscreen etc otherwise I'm pretty sure I have most things.

My other concern has been that I just had an operation on Friday, but feeling pretty good that I will be fine on my leg while away.

4 days to go and we head to Alice - I keep thinking I have packed too much and should remove some stuff - but if I remove I'll want it while I'm away. My bag weighs about 18 kilos.
