Hi there,

I am thinking of taking the Outback & Territory Tour departing Alice Springs September 21 2008. Just wondered if anyone else has done this tour and could offer some feedback on the weather, accommodation, sightseeing etc.

Any comments would be much appreciated

Hey you will love it.
I went september last year and id do it all again. I actually did the aussie exploered which is two tours combined - the territory and outback and beaches and reefs.
NT weather is very hot. We had about 40 degree weather everyday. You do a lot of walking too but its really not bad - but make sure you take proper shoes for walking. the ground is rough/rocky/uneven. make sure you have sunscreen. some people on our trip burnt really badly. i didnt even put any on most days thou and i didnt burn at all. i guess it depends where u from. accomodation is all quad share its ok. some rooms aer bunk beds some are 4 singles, . most rooms have showers and bathroom but there a communal one in kakadu and ularu.
In alice springs i did the bush tucker tour and blwout dinner. everyone went to the blow out dinner you could go and order your own thing if u wanted. it an entertaining place. at ularu everyone did the champange sunset it worth it - one of our best nights. i did harley ride too which was great. i did the camel ride on kings canyon. i did not do any flight or chopper rides but ive seen the pics from poeple they are great if i went again id so it .

I am thinking about doing this tour as well with a friend we have done the nz trip at the start of the year and now we have the travle bug.
well im going to book the tour this week and check out some prices for a few nights to stay sfter the tour has ended. well hope to hear from you soon

Just starting to get myself on these forums here, I booked this afternoon for the sept 21/08 trip, super syked.

I had gone on a Great Britain/Southern Ireland last year with Contiki and it was fantastic had a great time, I went with my sister. I decided to go solo this year..
