Hi, I've pretty much been a workaholic since I graduated college and decided it was time to take a major trip. I'm doing the European Horizon trip starting on June 8th. It's probably still early, but wanted to send out a post see if anyone was considering this trip. I'm from California, it be great to find out if there is anyone in California or a nearby state going on this trip in June.

Glad to find another on this trip. Lousiana, I almost went to school at Tulane, great state! I'm sure you'll have a blast, bummer your friend can't go, you'll have to gloat about how great your trip was when you get back.

Hi Jillybean, I did book my flight....leaving on June 6th out of San Francisco. I've heard if you get a flight under $1200 to London, you're doing pretty good...where would you leave from in CA?
Lone Traveller....great to hear you may join. I did a couple checks on websites and I heard May/June is a good time to travel to Europe. I think we might get a good group, hope so!
Good to hear people going on the june 8th trip. I am going to book it in the next couple of days..although I have been in england for the last 4 years, never travelled anywhere else in Europe..too busy with work (sad i know.hehe)..will be going solo and will love to hear more from people on this trip..Sounds like a really fun trip to be on..
Any ideas on how tiring the coach journeys would be? Just wondering cause we would be on the road for a considerable amount of time. Then again i guess it would give us time to catch up on sleep or just relax and enjoy the views. Any of you planning to visit various parts of London before/after the trip?

I probably can't provide any insight on the travel between locations, but I have been told by other people who have travelled to Europe to get a really good rolling back and not to overpack. Glad to hear you'll be on the trip!

Ek, I do remember reading something on the contiki site about the amount of time spent on the bus. If I find the blog I'll be sure to let you know, but I do remember reading that we will be spending many hours on the bus Guess that will give us lots of time to get to know eachother!!
Also, there is a Facebook group that someone has created for people who are going on a Contiki European Horizon tour in 2008. It's open to anyone, so that may be a good way for us to ask questions, etc.!

I guess it would be fun travelling by coach during the summer months.Have got a horrible few months at work (i am in Audit and got too much on my plate right now). Really looking forward to it, need a break badly.. Where are you guys staying in London before the trip?
