My friend and i also just booked the same tour as you, so now there are 5 ppl going. my friend lauren works at the melbourne aquarium, she also like long walks on the beach.

My brother's in London now awaiting the start of his European Magic tour. He sent an email saying that the shuttle from the airport should be avoided.

He says: "I waited about 30min before getting on the shuttle, then another 25 at the next gate. then it was close to two hours on the 'bus', really just a van, she got lost a lot, and that was only with four hotels stops, mine being third. Although when I originally told her my hotel she told me that was pretty far and would be the last stop, conviently she got herself turned around enough that we passed mine and I was able to get off."


And for anyone unfamiliar with the Tube system (like, say, me): "Took a test run on the tube since we last spoke, it seems faster to me, and the russel square stop is like 2 minutes away from the hotels. Also, after you get on the tube *KEEP* your ticket, it reclaims it when you try to leave the station, and if you didn't buy the right ticket you get stopped."


Of course, the London Transport website says that there are scheduled service interruptions which could cause problems with the tube from Heathrow (I'm still trying to determine whether the Picadilly line will be affected), so if you get on the tube and it takes all day, please don't hold it against me.
