Hey future tour buddies!

I'm on the Horizon May 22 (US departure) which will actually leave London on May 24th. I can't believe it's only about a week until the trip!

I haven't seen any postings on here in a while for this departure date, so I thought I'd post something new and see if anyone else wanted to participate in a "virtual" introduction before we meet in person next week!

So here goes...I'm Liz - I live in Orlando, Florida and while I've traveled extensively in North America, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean I've never been to Europe! I'm traveling alone so besides seeing some awesome sights, I'm super stoked about meeting some great people and creating some fun memories along the way! (or some fuzzy memories...haha!)

Anyway, perhaps some of us can go out after the tour meeting in London the night before we leave town.

My name is Brandie and I am from NJ. Ive done a bit of traveling as well but the only place I have been to in Europe before is London so this is def going to be an experience! (ill actually be celebrating my bday while we are on the tour).
I am down to go out after the tour meeting.
what time are you arrivng in London on the 23rd?

Awesome...a birthday celebration will be a must! I'll be there around 7am on the 23rd, but I'm meeting up with some friends of mine in London that day. I should be back at the hotel before the meeting though.

I've talked to most of you a bit on Facebook, but Liz, thanks for starting this thread! Really looking forward to meeting you.

My name is Kate, I'm 23, originally from CT but now I live in L.A. This is also my first time in Europe. I'll be traveling alone and can only take a few days off from work so unfortunately I won't have any extra time beyond the tour to see the sights. My flight gets in around 11 on the 23rd...I know that's later than most of yours, but I would love to meet up if anyone wants to go sightseeing together during the day. After all, we need to take the obligatory tourists-stuffing-themselves-into-a-British-phone-booth picture!

Brandie -- we're definitely going to do it up right for your birthday! I'm trying to prepare myself for 10 days of no sleep.

I love it!!! (hahaha) And I hear you about trying to prepare for 10 days of no sleep, I'm bringing lots of vitamins and those powder juice packets so I remember to drink water and help my immune system!

Is anyone taking to transfer back to London after the trip? The only half-way reasonable flights (and it's a stretch to say that) was round trip to London from Orlando.

Can't wait to meet you all in person - we're going to have a blast!

KATE - im arring around 9:30am and plan on doing some sight seeing too. i dont really have a plan yet - i would like to get to the hotel first and figure it out from there, but if you want to try to meet up that morning/afternoon when you get it, feel free to email me: brandie@njb.nmss.org and we could figure somthign out
