Where do you live in Australia? I have a friend who lives in Perth, I went to see her for 2 weeks in October and Im going to see her for a few days before the tour starts. Im looking forward to some sunshine and any temp above 10 degrees will seem hot to me, its rather cold in the UK at the moment. Yes this is my first solo trip, Im not sure what to expect but Im sure it will be great. Have you done any travelling on your own?
Hey Ladies. I am thinking about it. I am 23 from Alberta, Canada. I am also traveling alone and for the first time. I get in to Australia around the 10th though so I may want to start a tour a bit sooner... as I am not sure what I would do in Cairns alone for 8 days?
Lol. It was a really good tour, I loved all of it so you should definately do it, you'll love it! In a couple of weeks Im doing another Contiki tour in USA and I cant wait!! If you have any questions let me know. Hayley.
Hi I was hoping to do the Island and Rainforest tour in January 2010 plus sailing the whitsundays, but i hear it is wet season...has anyone got any advice? Is January not the best time to go?
I did the Coast and Whitsundays january this year and it was rainy for most of the time. It wasnt so bad in the Whitsundays but when we left the weather did turn rainy. It rained alot at Frazer Island and Surfers Paradise. It only started to get better when we got to the Surf Camp and Sydney, so basically out of tropical Queensland the rain stopped. It was always hot though and the rain didnt stop everyone from having a great time. Hope this helps you.
