Im Gerard from New Zealand and will be travelling with a couple of mates (Odette and Stefan) on this tour starting in Sydney and finishing on Long Island in the Whitsundays. Was wondering if any others out there were planning on doing the same trip, and if so would be keen on meeting up before the tour. We'll be in Sydney from about 18 December so would be keen to meet people for some drinks before the tour.

Also anyone thats keen, since the tour finishes on New Years Eve we're planning on heading back to the Main land of the Whitsundays to Airlie Beach for New Years. Plan on staying at a backpackers called Magnums www.magnums.com.au. If anyone's keen would be good if you wanted to join us there to celebrate New Years 'Contiki Style' ;-). We wanted to stay at the resort where we finish on Long Island but all Contiki beds were taken after the tour and was going to cost too much to stay indepentantly. But this place in Airlie looks pretty choice. We;ll be staying there until the 5th when we'll be travelling back home.
