Hi there!

I'm Dearna, 24 years old, from sunny Brisbane and heading to Europe on the Highlights tour for my first solo trip.

I'll be heading back to London on a working visa when the tour is over. It will be great to have a snapshop of Europe before having to think about getting work.  I can't wait to travel through France, it will be AWESOME!

I'm keen to have a chat with anyone who is on this tour, look forward to meeting you all!

Cheers
Dee

Hey, I'm 24 and on my first solo trip as well!  Are you looking forward to partying as much as the sights?  I hope there isnt too much peer pressure, cause I dont know if I can do 16 days in row!  I am staying in London for a few days after the trip, and then on to Malta for a few weeks. I am doing an olympic distance triathlon the week after I get home, so I don't want to completely trash all my conditioning, but we'll see I guess.  I can't wait!

I'm definately keen to party!  Not sure if I can handle 2 weeks of it either though but i'm sure we'll manage.......... Wink Malta will be awesome!  Have you done much travelling before this trip?  I went overseas last year to Egypt, the Greek Islands and Singapore, it was amazing!  I've never travelled with Contiki before but I did stay at the resort on Mykonos, if its anything like that they sure know how to party! A triathalon waiting for you when you get home hey? You'll have to do a major detox in that last week.  I can't wait either, now that its all booked I just want to go now!

I've gone to Mexico during spring break, Vegas a few times, Florida a few times, and a cruise in the Carribean.  Neven been to Europe or anything like that, so its going to be interesting.  I would say I would be getting some rest in Malta but I hear the nightlife is great there as well, so I imagine I'll spend a lot of my time on the beach during the day.  I do wish it was sooner than later...the weather here is not so good.

I have heard that Malta has a great nightlife too.  Plenty of lazy days recovering on the beach will be pretty hard to take.....Wink

You guys are just coming out of winter, arn't you?  We've just finished a very hot summer so its actually nice that its cooled down a bit.  I love the warm weather though, its going to be hard adjusting to London winters......BRRRRR

My best mate is living in London at the moment so she's madly planning trips for when I get there.  We're going to Bordeaux for the wine festival at the end of June for a few days and the Love Parade (worlds largest dance party) in Berlin in July.  Will be awesome!  I can't really contemplate how close everything is once you're there, its great you can just pop into another country for the weekend.  I spose we're a bit isolated here in Aus......

We are just coming out of winter (kind of) except we got about 10 inches of snow today, and its around 30 degrees F during the day so the snow was heavy and wet, it took 4 hours to shovel my driveway!  I am ready for the beach to be sure.  Sounds you have some fun coming your way as well.  I hope we can start the worlds second largest dance party a few times in some of our major stops.  I look forward to it every day now, its almost mean to plan it this early, now all I can do is wait!

Hey Dee and Larz, 23yr old from Brisbane here. I'm also on the same tour as you. I'm going with my mate Grant who's also 23. As far as travelling goes I've been to the States 3 times to visit relatives and thats about it. So I'm really looking forward to going to Europe for the first time. Just a word of warning, I'll be the annoying one whos coming home at 3am each morning and sleeps all day on the bus. I can't wait!

sounds like we'll have a good party crew.  I'm game for late nights and sleeping on the bus...maybe not every single night but most of 'em.  I don't know if my liver or pocketbook can handle 16 days straight!

Go Brisvegas!

I'm sure there will be a few of us passed out on the bus during the day!  I'm counting the days, less than 3 months to wait................. seems like a lifetime!  I'm glad everyone's keen to party, we'll have a ball!

Cheers

So I'm not gonna get much support on any night I try and take it easy....is it going to be a bunch of folks from Brisbane and one american?  works for me I suppose!...I spent tonight drinking Lowenbrau and Hefe-wiezen anyway, we'll all be Germans for a few days either way!

Hey there everyone,

I too am booked in for this tour!!!  I can't wait, just under 3 months til we depart!!!  Three of my friends will be doing this tour with me, all of us from Sydney.  I can't believe how many Australians are going.  This is my first contiki tour also.  I've done a small amount of travelling in the past, my last trip was 5.5 weeks in America, we had an awesome time.  After this tour, we're headed back to London for a few days before flying off to Mykonos.  I plan on staying there about a week or so, I'm yet to decide what to do after that.

Anyway, speak to you all soon.

Kirsty

YAY! Some more chicks are coming too!

I can thoroughly recommend Mykonos, its such a beautiful island, and the nightlife rocks. What a great place to go and chill out after the tour!

Look forward to meeting you :-)

Hey girls!!!

How are you both? I was just reading a few of your emails (gosh, that sounds a bit creepy, doesn't it), anyway Dearna, I might also be going to that Love Parade in Berlin. I'll be catching up with a few friends once I finish the tour (who were talking about going there) I've never heard of it though.

Oh and speaking of detoxing, I'm into my second day of a 15 day course, my goodness, I feel so drained, so if you're seriously considering doing so once you return, let me tell you, it requires self control like you wouldn't believe. Only 13 days to go ;o)

Sounds as though most ppl will be staying in London for a few days after the tour, that's pretty cool! Wonder what state we'll all be in by then, hehe.

Larz, where abouts in America are you from?
