in answer to your question yes there are guys that do contiki aswell - all the time as i am informed.
i have never been overseas before let alone on a holiday on my own but i have friends who have been and have said that it is the most awesome experience you will ever have!

I've just booked for this tour aswell, I'm 19 from vic. Its nice to know we can talk to the ppl going to be on our tour before we go. Just a bit nervous about going overseas on my own, but the tour should be great fun. Is it only aussies going on this tour or do ppl come from all around?

at the moment it sounds like its all aussies on the tour.. but there are others that come too.. i think its mainly aussies though..

 When i booked, i asked my travel agent (who has been on numerous contiki tours) which countries ppl come from... She said that there were a lot of aussies but on her tours there were also heaps of ppl from NZ, canada and south africa. Apparently contiki is most advertised in australia and those other countries.

Not long to go now. Just trying hard to save up heaps of money!

Wow I'm feeling slightly out numbered as well. As far as I can see everyone is from OZ/NZ and I see one Canadian. I'm from the U.S. California to be exact and I'm looking for anyone who might be flying out the same day! But I'm getting really excited, I just found out a few day ago I got on the trip! Its my first time overseas, I'm travellin alone and I'll be drifting around the U.K.(hopefully Ireland and Scotland) from the 14th until the tour starts so if any1 wants to catch up or knows any places I should check out in this time just let us know, (PM or whatever).
