I know what this forum is for dont worry  I thought the same way as you do but this is what the travel agent told me for 27 july-11 aug tour. of course I'd prefer it to start on 27th, but the hotel reservations they sent me seem to start on 28th and when I asked this is what they tell. I am directed to this tour by an agency named best single travel, maybe this is what makes the difference. hmmm I'll check again :S btw your trip summary looks exciting indeed.. |

copy paste, (just in case) :  The tour starts the 27th, but the 1st day is for travelling. Which means the 27th you should be leaving for your overnight flight to arrive on the 28th of July. Below you will see the first 3 days of the trip: Depart for Europe Monday Jul 27, 2009 Day 1 Jet off to the trip of a lifetime awaiting you in Europe! Arrive London Tuesday Jul 28, 2009 Day 2 Check-in to your hotel after 2pm and the remainder of the day is free to relax before meeting your fellow travellers at 6pm. Well it had to be done by someone eventually, so Ive created a facebook group for the tour.
Do a search for "Contiki European Highlights Tour 27th July to 9th August" and join if you are on this tour!

I think the dates vary depending on where you're from. For example, my tour's 1st day is the 25th, but that's the day of travel. The bus leaves the 27th and returns on the 9th. So for me, I would say I'm on the July 25th-August 9th tour, but that's the same tour as people doing July 27th-August 9th tour without the first day of travel.
So some of us in this thread are doing the July 25th or 27th-Aug 9th, and others are doing the July 27th or 29th-Aug 11th.

Hey Rachel.. If you're like me, I'm taking the tour that meets in London on the 28th but departs on the morning of the 29th? If so, there's a separate group for that trip.. and it's also on facebook! |

Hey Megan - yeah I am like you and at the moment am very confused lol... let me know what that group was called cause I was on a different group before and it wasn't the one. Would also like to talk to people before we leave as I am going solo and kind of would like to know people on our tour! Thanks!!
