Hi Kerri

I'm in the same boat as you! I'm coming from NZ and it's my first time traveling any proper distance alone but I'm really looking forward to it - except the bit where I fly through LA, I hear there are a lot of big scary guys with guns to greet you off the plane.

I leave NZ on the 3rd so get there the day before we leave in the morning (10am). I haven't booked accommodation for that night yet but will most probably stay at the Contiki Hotel.

I'm 22 and work for a publishing company on an outdoors magazine called NZ Wilderness.

It would be really cool to stay in touch with you, always nice to think you know some one a wee bit. Hopefully as the weeks go by a few more will join the site.

Haha whats the chances our whole group is Oz and NZ! It would still be pretty cool.

Vic :-)

hey victoria, cheers for replying, and yeah i agree our group will probably be mainly ozzies and kiwis, but hey thats a damn fine combo!

One of my best friends just returned from backpacking around new zealand for 6 weeks, she is in love with your country and won't stop going on about how great it is! I apolosige in advance if i have trouble with your accent and its highly possible that i'll ask you to say 'fish and chips' for me, just warning you, lol!!

itd be awesome to keep in touch like you said, whats your email? mine's kerriberrii@hotmail.com, drop me a line. And don't be too worried about LA, i went there a few years ago with my family, the guys with guns are alright. im sure most airports will have similar dudes these days anyway. I'm flying the other way, through Hong Kong, that should be interesting as well!

look forward to hearing from you, talking to someone else whos going makes the whole thing seem more real!

anyone else who is going should join us too!

Hi ladies!

I'm also looking at going on the 5th July tour. I just have to confirm a few things, but hopefully I will be booking everything by next weekend. I'm 22, male, from melbourne and it will be the 2nd part of my first trip overseas (I'm going to Singapore and Thailand on the way).

Hi Ant

Are you travelling alone or do you have friends going along too?

I traveling to Asia with a mate, then I'm on my own for the rest of my trip. I'm too excited and just can't wait! Everyday I'm looking up things to do, see and places to stay.

hey all

looks like im definitely going to be one of the youngest in the group, being the minimum 18yrs that i am! i just thought a frightening thought...... some european countries arent like the united states where you have to be 21 to drink are they, does anyone know? that would not be good! I know in Germany it's 16, good ol' germans, but it varies all over the place.

it's march now, pretty much only 4 months to go! 12 weeks! cant wait cant wait cant wait

Just picked up my documents as well, not long to go now. I leave for Thailand in 2 weeks! Surprising only 3 people on the tour are actually using this forum. I've already talked to about 7 or 8 people over a month ago who are going on my US tour in August.

I guess i'll seeya's in.......actually exactly 1 month.

Hey.
I'm finally getting around to posting!  Better late than never.
I'm Alison, a teacher from the U.S. I'm traveling all by my lonesome.  It's my first time on a tour and I am incredibly enthusiastic.
I'm still waiting for my itinerary to come through the mail.
If anyone else wants to email me (I've talked with Kerri already :-) my address is ShaquitaJ1@hotmail.com.
