Good to know a few others going on the trip.

HAHAH!!

I have my Contiki Package!!

I arrive 530am at heathrow, so I'll have over 2 hours to fill before the contiki basement even opens.

May I suggest we all meet at midday in the contiki basement? Then we
can walk around London a bit, getta bite to eat, before the Pre-Tour
meeting at 7pm.

I know we'll all go to a pub for a drink after the meeting!

22 days to go!

I have recently changed my money into travelers cheques and am now starting to regret it.... Have I done the right thing or not?

Hi Sue, Travellers chqs are ok, i just heard that they are sometimes hard to cash in and they sometimes charge you a fee but i'm sure it'll be fine. I'm going to bring a few travellers chqs in case of emergencies, but plan on using my bank card and visa.  No worries, it'll be fine. 13 days left, can't wait.

Bonjour everybody!

WOAH, only 11 days to go. Time to start thinking about what to bring.
It was my birthday on the 12th and i got a europe languages book. Tres
bien!

Hmm.

My plans so far is to buy a few Pounds and Euros to take with me. Then
use my visa card from ATMs. I've never used travelers cheques before (
i haven't really travelled Wink ) and don't plan to.

I think i'll be bringing a suitcase and a small backpack.

Sounds cool?

I haven't been camping for such a long time, and when i did, I remember
it was not a pleasant expereince, but I hope to spend less time camping
and more time enjoying myself.

Can anyone think of some camping essentials to bring?

My plane takes off in 1,030,532 seconds!

See you all soon!

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Thats funny, my birthday was on the 14th, i got a good sleeping bag for the trip so i'm all set. I love camping so i'm really excited about it. I'm also bringing a suitcase and a small backpack. I don't really know about camping essentials, i think we need to pack for all different situations since we're travelling all over and if we forget something we can always buy it. Wow, it's almost here, gonna be amazing and here's a line for you to look up in your book hahah

Au plaisir de vous rencontrer!

Chantal ( I'm french)

G'Day all.

Essentials to bring on a camping trip as the one we are going on;

 - A comfortable all terrain pair of shoes. You dont want to be carrying around a pair of shoes that you are only going to wear a couple of times on the whole tour.

That is my only real essential. Just pack light. If you think you are only going to use it a couple of times on the tour and you probably could live with out it - Leave it at home.

Only a few more days to go : )

PS - Make copies of your passports, travel insurance and flight tickets home - that is if you have flight tickets home.
