Anyone travelling on this tour during may next year? I so can you please let me know. I am very excited as this is my first trip to Europe.
It would be great to know who is doing the Mykonos Resort and who will be cruising through Turkey etc. instead. I'm still not fully decided on if to do the Mykonos resort or the cruise but at this stage i think the Cruise is the way to go.

I'm booking the May 23-Jun26/08 trip! It will also be my first trip to Europe and I'll be travelling solo. I was thinking of doing the resort, a break on the beach might be nice. But the cruise sounds good too! I'm planning on doing the Egypt trip right after so I'm super excited!!

Hi! I have been thinking about doing the April tour, but now I am more leaning towards the May dates. This is my first time OS and I am going alone, so a little scared!! Also having trouble deciding on the Resort or Cruise option, so any advice would be much appreciated!!

I decided on the Resort option because I've heard that during the tour your days are so packed with travelling on the bus and sight-seeing that I might like a nice break in the middle to do some laundry, lie on the beach, check e-mails etc. I've also seen some pictures of the resort and it looks beautiful. Weather should be good too in mid-June (25-28c) which is pretty warm for us Canadians

I've heard the cruise is more like a "ferry" but my information could be wrong so please correct me if it is! And the only thing I would regret is missing out on seeing more of the islands. But the resort has a bunch of activities like scuba-diving or wind-surfing if you're into that...and you can also take a half-day tour to some other neighboring islands.

Anyway that's just my opinion - hope this helps! Let me know if you decide on a May 23/08 departure date!

That does help... I have been reading through some of the forums and it does seem that the 'cruise' is on a ferry! As I am a little nervous on boats, maybe not a good option for me. And great point about the break in the middle - as a first time traveller it might be just what I need!!

If I decide on the May 23 date I'll certainly be in touch!

Hey guys. I did this tour last year. It is great for the record. As for choosing the cruise or mykonos...it depends on what you want to do. I cruised! It was AMAZING. One of the reasons that I picked this tour was to see Santorini. the islands are amazing. Also one thing to keep in mind is money. Yes it costs a little bit more for the cruise(at least it did for us) but the people who went to Mykonos spent way more money then we did on the cruise. We had the option to buy these handy cards on the cruise that were our drink cards. It cost like 18 euro a day I think and you got unlimited alcholic and non alcholic drinks. One guy who went to Mykonos spent over 300 Euro on drinks! So thats something to keep in mind.
And if you are looking to rest, you are at sea a bit so there is tons of time to rest!

The cruise is on a cruise ship, not a Ferry

Hey Gancia and Explorer I've booked for the May 4th tour as well. Looks like we'll all be going on the same trip. I've booked the cruise option. The main reason is because I want to see Santorini and I think i would regret going all that way and not see some of the islands. You still get a night's stay at Mykonos I'm pretty sure so with the cruise at least you will see more of Greece. I'm also very excited, this will be my first trip. I'm also glad to hear that the cruise is on a cruise ship and not a ferry. I've seen photo's of the ship in the contiki brochure and it looks amazing.
