Hi Tarryn

Funny you probably are on the same flight leaving 9am I think April 11 from Singapore, we're stopping over for the night to break up the long trip. Not sure how we're getting to the hotel yet, there's gonna be a lot to take in. When I find out I'll let you know. Is this your first trip to Europe? Are you staying on after the tour? Man there is so much to think about and we are flat out at work, can't wait to go on holiday!

Hi Nikki

Yeah my connecting flight leave Singapore at 9.05am! Looks like we are on the same flight! ha ha.
Yes, it is my first trip to London/Europe - I was planning on catching the train from Heathrow to the hotel, apparently it is really easy.... So if you guys were planning on doing that we might as well meet up! I was a little worried about catching the train on my own - but what could go wrong!

I am getting so excited now!!!!

Speak to you soon

Tarryn

Hi all, was wondering if any of you had received your travel itinerary from Contiki yet? We've been told we won't get ours till March 10. Bit concerned because our friends that are going on Contiki in May received their stuff two weeks ago.
Tarryn, will definitely meet up with you before or after the flight & we'll sort something out for transfer to the hotel Big Grin

Hey Nikki and Tarryn,
Thats great you are both on the same flight into Heathrow. We were just going to get a cab from the airport? Have you heard from others if the train is an easier option, I assume it would be much cheaper. Tarryn, I haven't recieved my Contiki info yet. Surely it must be on its way. Bit of a worry though that your friends have theirs and they go on tour in May (strange). I just bought a suitcase this week so I am getting into holiday mode. I have no idea what to pack either Confused. Just before we leave I might get on the internet and check out what the teps are like. I know my case will be ovre regardless. I just cant see myself keeping it under 20kg. Maybe we will be one of those lucky tours that doesn't get weighed! Heres hoping. Can't wait to meet you guys. Carla Wink

Sorry for all the typos guys and sorry Nikki I was actually addressing you in relation to the Contiki info not Tarryn. Think it might be time to quit while I'm ahead Roll Eyes.

Hi Everyone
My partner and I are also joining the Contiki European Explorer departing in London April 13th, we are also staying at the royal national hotel, 1 night prior the tour starts.
We are both currently living in Brisbane.
I am 22 & my partner will be turning 24 on April 13th!
I have been on a contiki tour before, travelled over to New Zealand with my best friend back in 2004, & yes, we had a blast!!!
This will be our first time travelling as a couple, & we are both very excitied, although I am very nervous about packing... Eeker

We both look forward to meeting you all.

Cheers
Katie and Nick

Hey all, hi Katie & Nick - what time do you guys get into London? Are you doing the cruise or Mykonos option? We are definitely into the big countdown mode now, only 5 & a bit weeks to go, can't wait to get on that plane. As far as packing goes I am trying to cover all the bases, from what I've seen on the net the max temp in London is about 10 degrees at the mo which is really cold compared to home, plus places like Switzerland could be chilly too. Have heard that you need to take cold & flu meds just in case, has anyone else heard any good tips?

Hi Everyone!
I am so excited now that there is heaps of us!!! Katie & Nick, you guys will have to come meet up with us all for drink before the tour starts! Although I dont want to start my first day on tour with a hang over! (I am sure I will)
I have no idea how I am going to pack and keep it under weight! We need warm clothes and summer clothes! But I am so excited anyway!
Apart from me and Jess I wonder if there will be many singles??
Can't wait to meet you all! I am so excited.

HI ALL
Carla, we are both so excited to meet everyone
Nikki, we get to London on Saturday 12th arriving at 7.40 am. We are doing the cruise option. Good tip: roll your clothes while packing creates more room... (you probably already know that one) Razzer
Tarryn, That sounds great, we would love to come for drinks!
I hope I answered everyone!?
Not long now we can't wait!!!

Cheers Katie

Tarryn, got our travel docs yesterday and we have to find our own way to the Royal which means we can meet up with you at baggage claim after the flight if we don't find each other beforehand, then we can catch the tube in together. The tube is the cheapest option and will take us right in. What do you reckon? The more we talk about it the more excited I get, can't wait to begin our big adventure!

hey Nikki
yeah I had planned to catch the tube, my travel agent has sent me maps and apparently its really easy. We will probably bump into each other at departure lounge in Singapore otherwise we can organise to meet up at Heathrow. Just over 4 weeks until we go and I'm getting SO excited! Still don't know what to pack but thats a minor detail. I'm still waiting to receive my travel docs and things. Anyway keep in touch and cant wait for the tour to begin!
