Also Sarah I will prob be heading to Basement at some stage when I'm in London. I'll need all the directions and advice I can get - I'll most certainly still get lost in London I'm sure!

Amy from what I've read we have a pre-tour meeting about 6/7pm-ish the night before the tour at the Royal National and then we meet again the morning of the tour. I'm sure they'll give us all the info in our tour packs anyway!

Welcome ... the next few months will go quick and i'm very much counting the days to go.

Does anyone have any suggestions for low rate credit cards or debit cards specific for european travel.. The best i've found is with hscb..
- 2-2.5% conversion rate on credit card, no withdrawal fee..
- the debit card has a $4.50 charge per withdrawal but only 1% conversion rate.

Hey everyone!

Good to see some more people on this tour, less than 3 months to go! Counting down the days! Smiler

Maria the best credit card I've found is the Wizard Clear Advantage MasterCard. It has no overseas transaction fees at all, interest rate of 15.74% and 55 days interest free. Also if you put cash on it before you go, you can do cash withdrawals (up to the amount you put on it of course) with no withdrawal fees. For more info visit http://www.wizard.com.au/creditcards/task.aspx?id=580

For a debit card the National Bank has a Gold Banking Account with a Visa Debit Card which has no overseas transaction fees either, only a $12 monthly account fee.

Welcome Kris!

Maria it depends on individual cuircumstances but I'm getting a loan which is at a much smaller interest rate than any credit card and putting that loan onto a "cash passport" (I know NAB and Suncorp do these). Basically you load the cash passport with whatever currency, in our case Euro and this means that theres no exchange rate fluctuations while we're away. It's used like a normal credit card, has no exchange fee at ATMs and you get 2 of them protected by separate PINs so if you lose one its ok!

Also I'm getting a loan because I can't save enough spending money haha so it works for me!

Hey Guys,

I put this on our facebook group as well, but for anyone not on there.. here goes!

It's time to get together, for those that can anyway.. In Sydney.

I suggest we all catch up in the City somewhere, have some food and drinks (might as well warm up for Europe together!!) and get to know each other.

Let me know if you're keen.. I'm thinking around the 26th of April (Saturday) but throw some dates around if that's no good and we'll go from there..

Cheers,

Matt.
