Is anyone planning on staying in London and seeing the sights for a few days before/after the tour?

My husband and I are joining this tour...from Hawaii...Can't wait!
Did anyone purchased air tickets already?

I am planning on arriving 3 days before and staying 3 days afterwards to take in some of the sights.

I am really excited because there are so many things I want to see in London... I hope I can squeeze it all in...

Anybody else coming in early or staying afterwards?

Welcome Angela and Naomi! Angela don't be nervous because it looks like there will be quite a few of us solo travellers so we'll all be in the same boat! Although saying that I can guarantee I'll get nervous closer to the trip!

I'm booking my flights next week and am planning on arriving 2 days before the trip and staying for about 3 nights afterwards to get in some London sightseeing before I head off to the Contiki resort in Bali!

I actually did another European tour long time ago (now I guess you can tell that I am old...) and I was a solo traveler. But everyone got along just fine and I shared rooms with another girl throughout the tour. Everyone became great friends after spending so much time together.

My husband and I are planning on arriving a day before and stay 4 nights after coming back to London... Is everyone staying at Imperial or Royal National? We are planning to book other hotels (I jsut remember Royal National was very old and the bed was horrible when I did Contiki last time).

Natalie...Bali sounds really great! Wish I could go too...

I'm planning on staying at the Royal National Hotel. I've heard its not the best but I've never been overseas before so I went for the convenience of staying at the same place as the Contiki Basement. Because otherwise guaranteed I'd get lost and miss the bus! haha

I have a question for those who booked Royal National or Imperial Hotel for additional stay before & after the tour...did you book through Contiki or did you contact the hotel directly?

Angela - My hubby and I live in Hawaii. I am from Japan and my husband Jason is from Philly/the US. I am 29 and Jason just turned 30...I am assuming that we are older than most of you...hope age does not matter...haha...

I will be staying that Royal National for the 3 days before and after...I like that its gonna be in the middle of everything.

Hey guys, welcome everyone thats starting to come on board, me and my hubby are from melbourne and we are staying at the Royal National, we get there 7 days before the tour starts and 1 are staying 1 night afterwards.. We fly out in 124 days... yay.. i'm almost down to double digits!!!

I'm also staying 3 days after at the Imperial. Naomi, where are you from in Hawaii? I was just in Kona for the second time and I have been to Maui once.I love it there!
