Hey that's great to hear! I went to Thailand and Vietnam in January 07, which was great, but I have now decided to explore Europe and I've also booked the Great Britain and Ireland contiki leaving on 28 June to 12 July. Are you also travelling on your own?

That would have been awesome! Yes it's my first time OS and I am travelling alone too!! Via the forum, I have 'met' Grace from Vancouver, she is doing our tour and also travelling alone. We have been emailing sharing ideas and excitment (which is great as I think I am driving my friends insane always talking about it!). Nice to meet someone else on the tour! In response to Shannon's post, it has definitely been great being able to talk to someone about the trip - it makes travelling solo seem a lot less scary! My name is Kim, I'm 27 and from Sydney, Australia. This is my first contiki, these forums are great. Been to Bali, Thailand but this is my first trip to europe. I havn't booked the tour yet, still tossing up between a couple. This one looks really good but was hoping to visit Prague, Tuscany, a couple of other place around Italy and Santorini. There's just so many tours to choose from and I'm a bit confused. Really want to see as much as I can while i'm there. Bit excited and a little nervous about travelling alone, but seems to be the way to go! Hope to hear from you soon..

I'm 26 and from Vancouver, Canada (I'm starting to feel left out as I'm the only one that's not from Australia!) I agree there are loads of tours to choose from. I was originally going to book the Ultimate European since it combined a tour of Egypt, but then I decided to book the European Explorer and also book the tour of Egypt & The Nile separately. It worked out to be not that much more expensive and both of the tours are superior which is what I would prefer. And I get the holiday on Mykonos! While on the break in Mykonos I'm hoping to take some day tours to some of the neighboring islands. They all look so beautiful!

I also looked at the Eastern Road tour, I really wanted to see the Berlin Wall...but couldn't fit it all into my vacation time! So maybe you could try combining more than one tour if time permits!

How did you go with choosing a tour? Like Grace, I am combining the European Explorer with Egypt & The Nile.
