hi shannon, danielle, gracie, emily and abs! have i missed anyone??

Thought i'd better make a personal appearance here first before i randomly ask you all to be friends on facebook!

Im heading on a scnadinavian tour in july if all goes to plan then staying around in england and scotland and plan to head to ireland too at some stage. So like shannon i'll be overseas for about a year or so.

Sounds like everyone is doing their own countdown until they leave... abs and i have about 10 days to ourselves before the tour starts ... so our contdown is exactly 80 days today until we leave!! woo hoo!

Hey Ladies!

This is my first time to Europe too, and like Shannon I'm also doing the Egypt and Nile tour right after the Explorer! I don't have facebook, although the pressure's on to start up an account. There's also Kim and Angela that are on the tour as well. So I think we've made a grand total of 8 so far! Woo hoo!!

Hey Abs & Dee,

It's so great to have a group of 8 now! I'm heading over to London alittle earlier too. I've got 5 nights before the tour starts to see the sights and get over the jet lagg. So it's only 85 days left for me till I leave, yeah!!

I'm doing the europe tour then have 2 nights back in London, then doing the contiki tour of Great Britain and Ireland which will be really great too. On the way home I'm spending 4 nights in Japan.

Deanna, good on you for going over to the UK to work, I've always thought about it but I'm abit of a chicken and don't know if I could do it, but you never know I may feel differently after the trip.

Just a precursory welcome! I'm not 100% certain I'm heading on this trip, but it is pencil-booked so far. Still trying to organise the rest of my travel plans. It's looking like they'll have to work around this tour though, since its so long and dates are limited!

Anyway, I'm Lawrence, 26, from Christchurch, New Zealand. First time to Europe, and heading there solo - it's a relief to know most of you are too.

Grace: come on, it's not that bad, I'm the only one from NZ, and the only male, thus far anyway!

Will have a nosey for that Facebook group now too.

What other travel plans do you have in mind? I'm heading off to the Egypt and Nile tour right after the Explorer. Can't wait!

Like Grace, I am doing Egypt & The Nile following this tour, then having a working holiday in the UK, which is open ended!

So now, lots of Aussies, a Canadian and a New Zealander...which I have to admit pleases me!! Tasmanians only get picked on if there are no NZ's around (only jokes...we'll go easy on you Lawrence!!)

Can't wait to meet you all...only two months to go now!!

not long to go now.... how is everyone going??I have been reading the emails and although i havent replied to any (apologies!!) i can agree with i think it was gracie and shannon who were stressing about being organised!! i think im getting a bit stressed nervous and excited too! I wonder if lawrence will be joining us...?? it sure sounds like a good ratio of girls to guys so far if he does come!

anyway i might get back to clearing the memory cards for my camera now!! cheers and beers!!!
