Good day eveyone.I will be going on the March 2009 Nile tour.First timer on the Contiki tour and would like to be introduced to those who will be on this tour as well.

I am on the tour starting March 6th. I don't have my plane ticket yet but was thinking of going maybe 1 day early, what are your plans?

I am going to Egypt, in March 2009. This is my first time travelling on my own. R many other people travelling on their own

I will be on the March tour by myself. It is the 2nd contiki tour I've done by myself, but you aren't by yourself for long. By the end of the 1st day (actually within hours of meeting) I had a group I was hanging out with the last time and never felt along.

I am going a day early & will be staying an extra day at the end.

DJC, are you going to be staying at the Oasis for the extra nights? I believe that's where we stay with the group in Cairo. I checked out their website and it's an hour from the airport! I wonder how much the cab fares will be for that trip!

Hi, I just booked the trip for March 6, 2009. I will be traveling solo and staying one day early and one day later. Hopefully we won't have to worry about cab fares. The Contiki rep told me they book transfers to and from the airport for us. I don't know how this will work for me though bc I get in at 2:15 am.

Hey Jodi! My flight gets in on the 6th around noon and was hoping to do some tour on the 7th as well. I was looking into Alexandria or maybe some things in Cairo that we won't be going to on the tour but I am open to pretty much anything!

Hi guys! I did a little research on daytrips in and around Cairo and Alexandria and found a few companies that run them. I don't know anything about there companies but I could always post in the advice forum or search through tripadvisor.

I would be interested in visiting Alexandria. From what I have seen most of things around Cairo seems to focus on the Museum and Pyramids which we are doing with Contiki, but I am open to what ever anyone else wants to do.

The Alexandria trip has a bunch of good reviews. It is 11 hours long though, so we would have to leave at 7am for sure.
