I am thinking about joining the March 2009 trip. I had plans to go to Spain with my mother, but they fell apart so now I am looking for somewhere else to go. The trip sounds like so much fun, with great reviews, and I've always wanted to go to Egypt!
My friend and I just booked March 6th 2009 . We are excited. We were originally going in Nov 07 but it became sold out sooner then we thought. Hopefully it will not be to cool at this time of year..

My hubby and I are also looking at the March 6th tour. Im just not sure because of it being so early in March. Im afraid of what the weather will be like (cool, sand storm?)
Hmm..just looked up info on weather in Egypt in March and it says that average temps are 11.2/23.7 C OR 52/75 F. The sand storm thing I heard about isnt until April (generally). Not too sure what to do?
I did March 07 Egypt and the Nile. Hot near the Sudan, some days chilly in Cairo, some days hot. Overall I wore jeans every day, a few days wearing a jumper (mainly at night and for the early mornings).
One day there was a dust storm in Cairo. It's not like on TV with not being able to breath and dust/sand everywhere, it just covers up the sky making it look dull (and making pictures not as impressive). You can see the difference in my pictures of the pyramids which were one day apart here:
Overall, I was more then fine with the temperature. It wasn't ridiculously hot, I went swimming at points, and coming from a cold winter felt refreshing.
Wow Ed those are great pictures. Thanks for sending them on. Dancingsu - my friend & I found a great flight for a great price and did not anticipate spending an extra day or two. I wish we had. We arrive mid afternoon on the 7th.
