Ideally in the winter months of dec-feb and if you want in the early summer month of may. Other than those times, you're either taking a risk in March/ April with the sandstorms or experiencing extreme heat at 40-50 C for the rest of the summer months.

I went in September and the weather was really nice... hot (I don't think I've ever been as hot as the day we were in the vally of the kings!!)... but nice!

Hey all,
l've just returned from a Egypt tour from the 28th Dec-11th Jan. l found that the weather during the day was really nice- about low-mid 20 degrees celcius. At night it got a bit chilly (about 10 degrees celcius). Without a doubt the best time to go would be during winter. That said, it is peak tourist season during this time, but Sherif (the tour guide) was really good at getting us to the sites before the tourist rush. Hope this helps |

I believe the sandstorms start in late march/early april. I went in early March and the weather was good, 1 cool day, 1 hot day and a mix the rest of the days. it did get chilly at night though.
