i am in the process of booking this tour aswell! i am doing winter wanderer (ending 2 jan) - have a few weeks travel and then heading to egypt.
how are people finding the cost to fly to/from cairo?! I will be flying in from Athens on 17/1, and flying out when the tour ends on 24/1 to London. I am finding that the cost is going to be around $2000 (australian) just for the flights in/out of cairo!!
would love to hear how everyone else is going with their flights!!
im thinking about doing that tour but im not too sure yet (i dont really know where i will be in january). how early do you think it needs to be booked? ill probably make a decision in december...
as for flights krissy, the ones ive seen on the internet are about $2000 australian each way too thats from sydney to cairo. i only looked at a couple websites though. i wonder if it would be cheaper through a travel agent?
For anyone looking for flights - I would recommend EgyptAir. I priced up a few options and they seemed to be the most reasonable priced (costing me around $700 from Athens - Cairo - Madrid).
i booked this trip a while ago, and im also doin the winter wanderer tour that finishes on jan 2, so ill see u on that krissy. im flying to london with emrites, and all their flights stop in Dubai, so it is only costing me about $500 for a side flight to cairo on my way home to melbourne. cant wait, i leave aus in about 50 dayssss

hi! my name is Faria. I'm new to contiki traveling and in the process of booking this date. I'm 24 yrs old, female, from New York, and traveling solo.
I found an Egypt Air flight for $985 from JFK to Cairo for the dates, 1/15-1/25. That means I'll be in Cairo two extra days. Will anyone be doing trips on the 15th or the 25th? I heard that Alexandria is nice and it's not included as part of the tour package. Any other ideas?

I booked this trip 2 weeks ago. I'm 29 and from California. This is my first contiki trip... and my first solo trip. Can't wait to meet people and make some new friends! Getting a little nervous about the whole experience but still very excited.
