Is anyone booked on the Feb 7th-14th tour?
My cousin and I just booked today So excited!!! We have a week in Egypt afterwards and not sure what to do, anyone else staying longer after the tour?

Great to hear from you--my friend Holly and I (Alex) are booked on this tour--Can't hardly wait! We've been planning this trip since May (our last Contiki)... Is this your first?

We are heading to Dubai for five nights before the tour, then off to Cairo one night before the tour starts. Unfortunately, we can't stick around in Egypt after the tour, so we leave on the 14th back home. You should check out www.viator.com as I've seen heaps of day trips and tours you might want to look in to for your weeklong stay in Egypt after the tour.

I'm a 22 year old male from Canada, and Holly is a 28 year old female from California.

Yes it's my first tour, I'm so excited!! It's my first time overseas without the rest of the family.

I wonder how many people will be on our tour. What other Contiki tours have you done? If this one goes well I might do one of the new Mexico ones.

Great to hear back from you--the trip is a little over two months away and time is flying by fast!

From the travelogues I've read so far, the tour should be no more than 20 people.

I did the European Encounter tour in November 2006, and more recently the Eastern Road tour in May 2008. I enjoyed both tours so much, that I'm itching for more!

Yea, Contiki has rolled out some new tours so right now I have no idea what I want to do for my next holiday!

We can meet up with you, but we are going on a daytrip on the 6th. I don't think the tour starts til 8pm on the 7th so maybe we could meet up beforehand and make our way to the meeting place together?

Holly and I get into Cairo on the 6th from Dubai and we are planning on taking a Nile River dinner cruise at night after we settle down and relax at the hotel (the pool at the Oasis is massive!). What are you guys planning on doing during your free time leading up to the meeting?

I booked my trip two months ago ! I am arriving in Cairo from Amsterdam on the 6th. What are you planning to do before the trip starts ?

I will stay in Egypt for almost 10 days after the end of the tour. After that I am going to Petra (Jordan), Sharm El Sheik and Dahab. If anyone wants to join me, it will be great !

We arrive into Cairo on the 4th. We are staying in the Marriott for the first few days but then at some random hotel after Contiki, so we will probably just spend those days enjoying the luxury lol.

We are going to Alexandria for 3 days after the tour, but then have another 3 or 4 days in Cairo just to explore and maybe catch up with people from the tour

I can't believe it's only 3 weeks away now!!!

i did this tour last year and i stayed for 12 more days after the tour , i stayed in an apartment in downtown cairo , it was a shared one , i really enjoyed being in downtown nearby all the attractions , sleepless cairo, experiencing the local city , and the room was 10$ a night , wooooow i got the best deal . still email the guy that rented the place. i recommend to live like egyptians do , there is many places to see
