I'm up for a trip to Egypt, but when is a good time to go? Anybody done this tour in like a July or August? If so was it unbearably hot? The lonely planet website says that it can get up to 50C which is way beyond comfortable in my opinion. If the summer is too hot would I be better going earlier or later?
I was also thinking if I did this tour maybe I should also try Turkish Delight just before or after this tour. Anyone out there interested in joining me for that? If so, drop me an email at go_the_gazza@yahoo.com.au James |

hey gazza,
i'm doing this tour in august 07 and can't wait. i'm not too sure how hot it will be, but if it makes you feel any better its not like the heat we have in australia, its a dry heat, not much humidity. here its the humidity that makes aussie summers sometimes unbearable. as for the turkish delight tour, i'll have to give it a miss. i'm doing european escapade before egypt and i wont be able to stretch my money for another tour i'm afraid. hopefully you might be on my egypt tour though, it departs the 11th of aug. keep me posted, sarah The time to hesitate is through! |

I recommend to the both of you here to go in november because I did this tour November 10th and the heat was rediculous especially since you are in it all day and doing strenuous work (ie. Climbing inside the Pyramid and climbing the sand dune after the felucca ride). Just a suggestion but I would never do this tour in the Summer but then again I am Canadian and it doesn't get that hot here. Aussie's should be able to endure the heat.
