Hi Katie- I am not sure. I thought I read somewhere that a Contiki rep will meet you at the airport, but my friend and I are in the same situation, we fly into Cario on 06/06 at 12:25 in the morning. Not sure if the Contiki rep will be there at that time...or we are responsible for our own transportation to the hotel.
I'm in the same situation, my flight to Cairo lands at 12.25 (the morning of the 7th). I asked my travel agent about being met at the airport and taken to the hotel and she organised it for me, I'm pretty sure it was through contiki, probably the best thing to do would be to talk to your agent or if you went straight through contiki give them a call.
I'm Matt...from Sydney, Australia. I just booked this trip! I did Contiki European Highlights 2 years ago...which was heaps of fun...but Egypt is going to be really exciting as it's so different.
I will be flying in from Amsterdam, and I get into Cairo at 2am on the 6th. Look forward to exploring Egypt with you all!
Have everyone received their contiki documents yet? I picked mine up yesterday. I noticed in the optionals it doesnt list the hot air balloon ride for our trip.
Has the group photo, abu simbel trip, camel ride & sound and light show...is everyone doing all the optionals? Doesnt bother me if we dont get the balloon ride, I'll be doing all the others.
Hey Katie...I'm on KLM flight KL553 from Amsterdam to Cairo. That would be good if we are on the same flight...then we will both be looking for the contiki guy to take us to the hotel.
