Anyone booked in for this trip? Can anyone tell me how the weather will be for this time of year. Have heard some reports that sand storms can ruin your trip.

Khamsin or sandstorm season is typically between March and April in the middle east.

Although I've been to Dubai/Oman in early June and have experienced a very mild sandstorm.
The mild sandstorm actually adds some character to your travel in the sense that you get the typical Laurence of Arabia feel.Imagine mild gusts of wind with a little bit of sand peppering so its not too bad.It changes the colour of the surrounding atmosphere as well.

Some years it can be really bad some years bearable so its hard to tell..A full blown sandstorm you can't even walk outside and the temperatures rise really rapidly - usually a 20C+ jump.One moment its 30C then its almost 50C.

Its a risk that you have to take if you have decided on that time frame..

I just signed up this past weekend for the April 18-25th Egypt and the Nile tour.

I hope it doesn't get cancelled! I've already had one cancelled on me as well.
