Hi Ashley,
I will be in Alexandria on June 30, not through Contiki though but as an extension to a conference I'm going to at Sharm El Sheikh on the Sinai Peninsula/Red Sea coast. If nothing else may be able to give tips by the time the Contiki tour starts.
As I understand you can buy your visa at your airport of entry into Egypt, at least that is the case for New Zealanders like me, depends where you are from I suppose?
