Hi Brianne, just read your post about the visa and the rep leaving us at the airport. I had concerns about getting the visa on arrival too, but seems that the others are all doing it that way too (am I right??)and it's about half the price doing it this way. I asked Contiki too and they said it should be fine and easy enough. And like I said before, if I am done before you I will wait for you...and we can get one of those limousine transfers...unless of course we feel like being adventurous and hooning around in one of those taxis the guy in your other post mentioned!
But out of interest, for those also arriving on 28th, what time do you get to Cairo???

Hi Olivia, Sorry it took so long to respond on the Alexandria trip. We had a look into the day trip thing cause we will only be able to do it on the 28th June. This means if we go by bus or train we would have to be back at the hotel in time for our pre-tour meeting in the evening. The bus/trains leaves @ appr. 07:00 from Cairo and from the info I got we need to be on the bus/train leaving Alexandria @ 15:00 which is the last one leaving for the day. That leaves us with +/-5 hours to explore on our own. Apparently the hotel can also assist us in arranging this with an organized tour group but details of dep/arr times can only be confirmed once there. So at this stage we are not sure if we will definetly be doing this. When do u arrive and if we go does 28th June suit you? Hope to hear from you soon. Engela
