For those countries its not compulsory to have any vaccinations, although it might be worthwhile to have a tetanus booster prior. The environment is quite dirty especially in Egypt and Turkey.
My doctor recommended that I have Hep (not sure what one it was), Typhoid and Polio. I don't think they were necessary but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Are you from Australia? You would have prob got all those vaccinations when you were in high school anyway.
I just went through this and since it had been over 10 years since all my last shots I got:
* Boostrix (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio, and Whooping Cough) * Hepatitis A and B (2 needles 1 month apart and 3rd needle in 5 months time) * Typhoid * Meningococcal(Type C is common in Australia, but I got A, B, C and D?). The doctor said mainly because of the train, bus and cruise ship with the close proximity to other people.
