Hey All!

I had a question about packing for going to Egypt. I know that we are only allowed the one piece of luggage, so I am just wondering if anyone has some words of wisdom or recommendation of what you will and won't need.

Thanks!

I packed light on the trip, and relied on others if I needed anything (medicine, sunblock, etc.) The few things that I think someone should bring on the trip that typically isn't mentioned:
hand sanitizer
playing cards/dice
liquor (I brought two bottles).
Check the temperature ranges at night, I went in March, and it was rather chilly at times and I only brought 1 pair of pants. You won't need a towel, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, the hotel will have them, and you can take some TP from the first hotel for the rest of the trip.

Hi Monty,

I am going on Feb 22 to Mar 2. The thing is, is that I am going to be starting out in London first and then going from there to Cairo.

Any help is good!
Thanks!
Ash

Hey,

I just got back from Egypt. It should still be cool around that time (double check the weather), I lived in jeans or long pants. I took a bunch of tops with 3/4 length sleeves, looser fit, and they were awesome. I also took a lot of strappy tops and put lightweight jackets over them. Don't take as much as you think you need, seriously limit your shoes, and pack lots of hand sanitiser. Do get plenty of meds for gastro because you will spend a lot of time in Egyptian toilets.

Egypt is so awesome. Start reading as much as you can now and get as organised as you can asap. Also remember to get updated hep a shots and tetanus and anything else they want to stick into you. Have a great time!
