Hi again, everyone! So excited for April to get here! We aren't able to spend more than 10 days on vacation, so we can't go to Alexandria But we're looking forward to meeting everyone! I started a facebook group called Contiki Egypt April 10-18, 2009 Hope you guys join!!

I cannot wait to meet everyone on tour. Unfortunately I have no time after the tour (I have heard great things about Alexandria). I will arrive just a day early. And I am thinking about seeing the pyramids the day before the tour starts. Anyone interested joining me on the adventure?

One week and counting! For those still interested in going to the pyramids on Saturday, may I suggest 9am in the hotel lobby? I am willing to wake up earlier or leave later... Any thoughts? Anyone have the "how to's" on how get to and return from the pryamids? I am writing a student who lives in Cairo and placing a post on the other forum for any additional advice. Hey Karen...Im keen for an early start...Taxis from the Oasis Hotel are about 35LE return (According to another website I found)..But we could always haggle if its anymore. The hotel has a free shuttle bus into Cairo city but not sure if they have one going to the pyramids...I might email and ask..I'll let you anything else I find

Hi, do you mean the Nile cruise bit? Its a big boat (if you go to this website you can see what it looks like). I did this tour last Feb and only a few replied to my post on the boards but the group ended up having 40 people. We filled up the whole boat, there was about 10 randoms on it but we only saw them at dinner.

Great Rhee! Thanks for your help. I understand that our hotel is very near to the pyramids. I am sure it is no biggie getting to the pyramids. Did you want to meet earlier in the morning? Okay, final meeting time...10am in the lobby. I want to try to adjust to the time and I already have some Egyptian pounds. Can I assume Rhee you will speak to the hotel front desk and make arrangements? It sounds like you will have more time to do so. If not, no worries, we will make it happen. All in all, anyone interested in venturing to the pyramids on Saturday at 10am, meet in the lobby. Cheers!
