I've started the travelogue for my Scandi and Russia tour in May.  I've done the travelogue (no pictures yet) for the first 10 or so days.

Hey Crissy, enjoyed reading your travelouge. Good to read a perspective from someone with a different traveling style.

Hi there Chrissy,

Was just re-reading your travelouge, as it's been awhile since the first few times I read it :-) and I've been looking at getting a Faberge egg at the Hermitage, but I just realised this is not where you got yours and yours looks much nicer, as it has things inside as well.

So, i was just wondering, if you don't mind, how much did you pay for yours and your mothers eggs? Just so I know what to budget and expect when I'm looking for my own and one for my mother as well??????

Thanks for any help you can give me...

Cheers
Tamara

They took us to a fabrege shop when we were in St. Petersburg. My egg, which has a basket of flowers inside (which dangle on a chain when you open it) was about $125 USD. They also had eggs that did not open up which were much cheaper, though I don't remember how much.

My mothers egg, which is a regular size egg with a carriage inside, but not a replica egg, was about $40. The eggs don't get too much cheaper then that and run well into the $100 range. I think the replica eggs were all in the $100.
